Seems to be like Automator for graphic visualizations. I discovered it through the Action Verb Generator.

Saw Tom and Frederik present NodeBox last year at OpenVis Conf as part of their talk. Its a very powerful way to produce generative art. You can spend hours experimenting with the node-based workflow.

By far the most pleasant to use generative design tool I've tried. For dataviz and generative forms.
