Interesting app. I had a very similar idea a couple of years ago... At this time, I was working for a client in the travel industry, and I was looking for influencers who would travel to a specific country. Here is what I would do: -Users can decide if they want to share their plans with potential clients. -Hotels, travel agencies or marketing manager can buy access and see if an influencer is planing to visit a specific place. Just an idea ;-)

@danischenker Hey Dani! Love the feedback. It's probably a good sign you had the idea, it means there's others with the issue! I'm curious who the "clients" are in this case. Are company's sending influencers on trips? I really like the second idea. Utilizing the social aspect and influencers on the site. How would hotels for example react knowing that influencers were going to their hotel? I'm wondering how to sell that to a hotel or marketing manager.

@benspicer First: Yes, travel agencies do send influencers on trips! Of course, it always depends on their budget and the audience the influencer has. But it does happen. But I think a platform like yours could be used by smaller influencers as well as clients with smaller budgets. Since the influencer is already going on a trip anyway, there will be room for smaller perks... A hotel manager could offer a free stay in exchange for an Instagram post. Or a local tour guide could offer a free city tour. My client was a small travel agency. They didn't have the budget to send somebody for a whole trip, so we were looking for local influencers to do stuff and pay for their time. That's why such a tool would be very helpful ;-) Let me know if you have more questions.

@danischenker I got it now!! Thanks for sharing this. I hadn't thought about this angle, it's very interesting. How do small agencies/hotels/etc. find influencers now without this tool? Were you able to find influencers for this client? Or is it only ones that can afford paying for the whole trip?

@benspicer Back then (about 6 years ago) we were mainly looking for bloggers. So we were searching bloggers from specific German cities and sent them to close local activities (hikes, museums, etc). If I had this (or a similar) client today, I would probably start with TikTok and Instagram. These influencers can now reach a bigger audience than bloggers. There are tools to find influencer (lots of them). But I don't think any of them are specifically for the travel industry. Especially with the idea of knowing beforehand where an influencer will travel to.

@danischenker That makes a lot of sense and gives me something to think about. Seeing how we can engage influencers more to attract those agencies. Thanks Dani!

Hey Everyone, I have been a traveling digital nomad for years now. I travel to a new city 5+ times a year and I am constantly meeting amazing new people that I would love to continue to travel with. Unfortunately, with a lifestyle of everyone moving around so frequently it can be hard to stay connected and schedule when you'll see a friend next. We're trying to change that! We are ending the painful back and forth of planning trips with friends and the never ending task of staying up to date on your friends' locations for digital nomads! How do you see this being used for your travels?

Congrats on the launch, @benspicer ! Just signed up and will give it a try, the UI looks pretty sleek. I currently use Nomad List 5.0 for keeping track of my itinerary – always good to have a track record of places I've been and stayed. Would be really fantastic if it was able to automatically track as I change locations, so e.g. after I land in Barcelona it could send me a push notification to ask if I want to add a stay to my itinerary. That'd mean less work for me, and probably higher engagement for you, as I'm sure people might download the app and then forget to ever use it again unless you make it super simple to keep the itinerary up to date.

@tobiasurff Hey Toby, great to hear from you, love the feedback. Nomadlist is a great resource and good for personal itinerary tracking but I have found it difficult to plan trips and logistics with my network and easily stay in contact. I think Nomadago can help out there! The automatic plan creation to you itinerary is really interesting and may be an easy add. Although we may solve what you're looking for already. We are using location tracking so you can see where all your friends currently are in the world. You'll also receive push notifications if you're in the same city as a friend (based on a distance that you can set) or if your future plans/itinerary lines up with a friend's. What're your thoughts here?

Yeh nice! I was looking for somthing like this recently
Ben Spicer
@reuben_carter Hopefully this helps in the future! What was the situation?
Ben Spicer
@reuben_carter Ahh yes that's always difficult and exactly what we're trying to help with. Being able to set up a plan, dates, who's committed and all the communication in one place.
