Before I left PlayHaven, we never invested the time in creating a good on-boarding process and resource for new employees. The hardest part was keeping documentation up-to-date. Tools that can make this part of the process easier will win, imo.
cc'ing @nikDOTca used to work at Learndot and has a lot of experience in this space.
I've been in LMS space for a number of years with Lectrio.com. There is a big demand, but competition is tough, especially for newcomers. A lot of products for academia and enterprise.
"Better" has a right focus on enterprise, we've seen much bigger deals there vs. academia. However, it's top-down sale most of the time. If it's a compliance training, then you are selling to HR. The length of sales-cycles can get ridiculous. If it's not scares you, you'll have a good business with a great to potential. Blackboard and Cornernerstone have ~$2B market cap each.
@jan_sramek good to see that you added SCORM compatibility. I'm surprised that you are not looking to position yourselves as an LMS though; what features of an LMS do you not have?
Does a customer require an additional LMS to run alongside Better then?
Looks cool but not entirely sure what the product does. This is a big problem with a lot of LSM vendors, they do not show what an example LMS would look like. I think adding an example or sandbox LMS would help you convert.
