Notion A-to-Z is a profound new way to learn Notion, prepare for certification, and keep current. It’s an interactive journey to Notion mastery, strategically instilling the technical and tactical skills you need to maximize the all-in-one app.
@william_nutt - I’ve always appreciated your insights and trainings on YouTube. So thank you for that.
For this course — and this might sound weird — is it more focused on Notion, as-such, or is it also very focused on your Bulletproof Workspace concept? I’m more interested in Notion itself than a specific system or template (at the moment, but that could change!).
Thanks! 🙌
@crsmoore Thanks Chris. Great question. The answer is both.
When I say "technical" and "tactical" skills, I mean the fundamentals of Notion, then how to apply them methodically.
Much appreciated, @chrismessina.
After Notion VIP and the Bulletproof methodology, Notion A-to-Z is the logical next step in my Notion journey. It's the culmination of my immeasurable work with the app, its users, and the team behind it. That includes my active role in the development and management of Notion Certified.
I crafted Notion A-to-Z around my core principles for learning and using Notion, one of which is to "be a builder, not a user." That means never "installing" standalone templates but instead referencing them to inspire your custom, integrated systems. Through a strategic blend of resources, Notion A-to-Z provides the technical and tactical skills you need use Notion to its fullest.
After a soft launch for Notion VIP partners, hundreds of users are already using A-to-Z to master Notion, including new members of Notion's support team. I'm so excited for the Product Hunt community to join them.
Hey @william_nutt! Congrats on the launch.
What are some of your hard lessons and warnings about what *not to do* for folks who want to go all in on Notion?
@chrismessina — great question. This is right in line with my "core principles for learning and using Notion" that drive A-to-Z's composition.
Here are a few no-nos that I elaborate on in Notion A-to-Z:
1. Don't "install" standalone templates; instead, reference them for your customized, integrated system.
2. Your workspace is never "done." It continually evolves with Notion, your skill set, your needs, and perhaps your collaborators.
3. Avoid approaching Notion with exclusive use cases predetermined. Allow your learning to drive how you use Notion. The more you learn, the more you'll use—and adore—the tool.
As an Early-Bird customer, I'm absolutely loving this course!
It's so detailed, yet concise, clear and practical and has taught me so much.
I use it as a buffet, dropping in to nibble here and there between work, and also to look things up with an often more detailed and thorough explanation than I can find on a random Google search.
@william_nutt knows his stuff! Congrats on the launch!
Congrats on the launch Will! You’ve paved the way for an entire generation of Notion enthusiasts since early days, and wanted to say a huge thank you for inspiring all of us!
I'd bet William knows more about Notion than anyone else! He produces quality, detailed work that I often recommend to my clients when they're learning the ropes. His formula resources are still my go to when there's something I can't quite remember. This produce is worth every cent paid and every minute spent on it. Congrats on the launch @william_nutt and thanks for all you've done for the Notion Community.
I also took advantage of the Early Bird offer, and I am very glad that I did. I decided that I wanted to learn Notion, so started looking at the various courses available. Deciding to purchase Notion A-Z was a “No Brainer” after I saw how involved William is with the actual company and certifications.
I am so glad I did, because it is one of the most thoughtful and thorough courses I have ever taken. It is well-organised, and you can see that a lot of time has been spent putting this course together.
Also, William has been very quick to respond to any queries I have had, which is a rare thing these days.
This will definitely help me get Notion-certified, and I consider it a very wise investment.
Wholehearted Recommendation: Been on the Notion A-Z journey since the earliest days and credit all of my Notion technical skills to the package, thank you for everything and keep up the great work. Notion for Teachers (Andrew Arnold)
As an autistic person, I always find it hard to process video information, and my brain is like a database itself, so it needs a systemic approach.
Though people in the notion community are generous to share knowledge, most notion resource solely or heavily relies on youtube and lack the competency at a comprehensive level.
Though I am a bioinformatician but find it frustrating to start my notion journey and only able to learn from posts/blogs and others' templates part by part as my neurodiversity. However, as a programmer, I am unsatisfied with "using templates" rather than managing my database.
Notion A-to-Z is saving my time and life by continuously having information sparsely. It gives information in the integrated and, most importantly, systematical and well constructed, fulfilling my expectations of learning one programming/ integrated tool quickly and confidently as my journey to learn another programming language. Also, as a programmer, it amazingly covers my expectation to cover advanced skills.
I think most people have read a cookbook/ handbook, Bootcamp or similar for their first entrance to a coding language. So yes, it is what I find Notion A-to-Z worth, and it is growing content for reflecting the change of the platform; and I believe if you find something not covered, they will be more than happy to put it inside.
I like to be a programmer as I could not only use the resource, I could understand and play with it. So let's why I find the Notion A-to-Z wins my mind.
It is also beginner friendly as you take your own pace and have no other essential coding experience needed. I think it will help people be more conscious and confident when they need to use things such as formulas in other API/ coding languages.
I am happy to onboard, and yes~ I highly recommend it if you are like me and want to use one tool as you are confident and wish as life is already busy and messy. Let's play it!
I write it on my own experience of using it until today, and I am not affiliated with Notion A-to-Z, but I want to say thanks.
