Meet Notion Calendar — integrated and synced with all your Google Calendar events. (1) Simplify time management. (2) Fully integrated with your Notion workspace. (3) All your commitments in one place.
Hi PH community! Founder of Cron here, now heading up Notion Calendar — excited to be back here!
Ever since Cron joined Notion, we've been exploring how to bring Calendar to Notion and built deep integrations between the two apps. Traditionally, Calendar is where you manage your time, and Notion is where you manage your information.
With this launch, you can add richer context to each event with Notion pages, and display key dates or milestones, directly from your Notion databases. I can't wait to see what you do with these integrations. Our vision with Notion Calendar is to bring the digital time layer into all aspects of Notion -- notes, projects, tasks, and more.
Three things for launch I wanted to let you all know:
Currently, Notion Calendar integrates and syncs with Google Calendar accounts. Adding support for other calendar providers such as Outlook and iCloud is on our roadmap.
Notion Calendar is available and great on iOS. We know that many of our users are on an Android device and are working hard to bring Notion Calendar onto the Android platform. I don't have a date to share yet!
Importing Google Calendar events directly into a Notion database is not yet possible. We're exploring new ways for Notion and Calendar to interact. Expect exciting developments soon!
@raphaelschaad congrats to you and the team on this awesome release! I'm loving the Notion database sync feature so much. I've long wanted a way to show entries from multiple databases in the same place (I think it was on my Notion wishlist all the way back in 2018), so having a way to finally do it feels great.
@raphaelschaad This is wonderful stuff, congrats on the release!
Question about Calendar compatibility; can you give us any indication on how far away you guys are from providing iCloud Calendar support?
For me Notion was actually THE tool that allowed me to move away from the Google ecosystem (they had me stuck on Docs and Sheets) and it feels odd not being able to use Notion’s second big app as a result.
Looking forward to being able to use Notion Calendar in the future!
@tomfrankly I'd love for you to share some of your nitty gritty use cases you've showed me (like the upcoming SaaS bills synced from Notion to Calendar) — so cool! You're a true Notion master
@raphaelschaad i was 2 minutes late from my meeting this morning, because i was looking for Cron. ☹️
jokes aside, exciting journey, wishing you all the best and I hope you can maintain the fun, Cron represents.
Weill, Notion, the digital equivalent of a magical labyrinth! It's as if they took inspiration from those "choose your own adventure" books but forgot to include any clues. It's quite the feat, really. It takes a special kind of genius to create a product where navigating the interface feels like you're trying to solve a Rubik's Cube, blindfolded, with one hand tied behind your back. Hats off to the team indeed; they've managed to turn every user into an accidental explorer, bravely charting the unknown territories of their software.
It's not just a tool. It's an adventure!
Sooooo pretty. ♥️ It does concern me a little that Notion is veering too close to Zawinsky's Law though...
Can't wait for iCloud being supported. Best of luck.
I recently migrated my to-do list from Things to Notion, because I was able to achieve the right task ecosystem that my projects required. Now, with this calendar, it was the missing link between my to-dos and my calendar: due dates, reserving time for tasks, etc. All this, with major simplicity.
The only thing left to do is Outlook integration.
Congratulations and many successes!
I love your product and was replacing my ical for a while until I missed a few meetings due to sync errors. It was a painful experience and a difficult realization that functionality and reliability are still more important than beautiful fonts.
