The On Deck First 50 Fellowship (OD50) is a 10-week program for talented operators who want to find their next roles at early-stage startups, surrounded by a community of incredible peers.
Ever since the beginning, we've always had people do On Deck and then join companies. Now we have a more targeted offering so we can better serve these folks who want to join the next big thing. Can't wait for this. :)
@eriktorenberg Hey Erik, love the launch! What if someone's thinking about going through the fellowship but doesn't want anyone else to know? Do you keep it private?
@turnernovak "sacredness" is a key value for On Deck overall and critical for OD50 since we envision that over half of our fellows will be working fulltime while looking for their next roles. Privacy is in our DNA.
This is also why the amazing folks who have already committed to join our first cohort are just blue profiles on our website instead of sharing their names :)
@eriktorenberg hey @turnernovak 👋 yes! Many OD50 fellows are going through big transitions and may have not yet publicly shared this with friends or employers. So we'll honor that and everything will be off the record.

As a Fellow in ODF6, I can say with 100% conviction that joining the On Deck community is one of the best things I've ever done. To now have a fellowship specifically targeted at early hires is amazing. If you want to be part of the startup world, but don't want to be a founder, this program will advance your career tremendously.

@wearekurama mindset is the most important requirement! Entrepreneurial person who's ready for their next role and has demonstrated success in their background, regardless of their exact area of expertise. (A bit more detail in the FAQs on the website, too.)
And yes people of any age can apply since startups need to hire experienced folks as well as those earlier in their careers in order to be successful :)
