Finding the perfect name for your startup project can sometimes be a pain in the butt. Frustrated by this very problem myself, I decided to build a web-app that shows a list of all the available one-word domains with TLDs like .ai, .co, .com, .io, and 80 more.

@steventey I really like the service and think the UX is very solid. RE: the tag line: "Database of all available One Word domains" This is a clearly FALSE statement. It is absolutely not "ALL" Available One Word Domains. It is, however, an incredible listing of valuable domains, and I plan on becoming a customer soon as I have some one-word premium names I'd like to sell. Q: Are all the domains paid listings? I would encourage you to find another word or phrase for "all". For example "the most valuable", "incredible", high value"... Q: What am I missing?

@ronsheridan Hi Ron! Thanks a lot for the feedback! really appreciate the kind words, as well as your advice about the tag line - I'll definitely change that ASAP. For your information, a majority of the domains on the site are free-to-register domains - in fact, only the three domains at the top of every page as well as the domains in the "Featured Listings" section on the homepage are paid listings, and everything else are domains that are available to register. Once again, thanks for your feedback, Ron!

Can we vote harvest this please? We need one of these for every decision ever.

@lifeonautosite Thank you so much, Nathan! Glad you found this useful! Would love suggestions on any TLDs or word categories that you would like me to include.
Sam Stowers
Nice work! A lot of these are pretty inspiring tbh - very nice to have a full (filterable, updated) list. :)
Steven Tey
@phantom_sam Thank you so much for the encouraging comment, Sam! I'm planning to keep looking for alternative sources to keep the list as curated and updated as possible - stay tuned! ;)

Raza Padhani
This is awesome! One thing that is helpful for me when I search for a domain is domains with synonyms of my original search term. I often choose one of those synonyms or explore a differently-spelled version synonym
Steven Tey
@raza_padhani That's a really good suggestion, Raza! Thank you so much for this - I'll add it to the roadmap!

Ywacch
It’s good that I can search for a suitable name and available domain for any project that I’m working on. Both tasks (name forming and domain finding) can be annoying and time consuming because you may come up with a catchy name but find out that it’s been taken already. 10/10 would recommend this product πŸ‘
Steven Tey
@ywacch Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and encouraging words! I definitely relate to what you said here about the trials and tribulations when it comes to name formation and I'm really glad that I was able to help with this project! Good luck with your future projects!

Now THIS is my kinda stuff. I'll be hunting through this for hours - I always love one-word domain names. They have some strange authority to them.
Steven Tey
@maxmirho1 So happy to hear that, Max! Totally agree about the authority part - I'm a huge fan of one-word domains myself! Hope you're able to find the domain (or domains) that you desire! πŸ˜‡

Hey fellow Makers, I was dabbling around with Flask the other day and decided to build something that I would’ve loved to use when I was trying to find a good name for my startup - a database of all the available one-word domain names out there. It’s a pretty straightforward idea but somehow I’ve never been able to find a resource like this online so I decided to make one myself. I decided to keep the MVP simple and limit it to the following features: - Filter by word type: Adjectives, verbs, nouns, and all words. Planning to add a "Names" category soon, let me know if that's what y'all want in the comments! - Filter by alphabet: Rather self-explanatory feature, just thought this would come in handy especially with TLDs that have over 3,000 available domains! - Track most popular domains: You can spy on see which domains are clicked on the most often by other people. - Track most recently viewed domains: Same thing as the previous feature, except for the fact that you can see how long ago was the domain viewed. Sneaky! - Staff Picks: I'm constantly on the lookout for new one-word domains that are startup-worthy and will post them on the homepage once I find them. Hope you guys find this tool useful! Also, I would love any feedback that you might have on this project - this is my first time building a web-app from scratch, so any tips on how to improve would be greatly appreciated.

@ryzalyusoff Thank you so much, Ryzal! So glad you found this useful and really appreciate the support from a fellow indie maker like yourself! ☺️
