App Connector by Outfunnel - Connect your sales and marketing data, deeply and easily

Outfunnel's App connector makes it incredibly easy to create deep data connections between all your marketing tools and CRM (Copper, Pipedrive, HubSpot). Not very exciting, but extremely useful if you’d like your sales and marketing people to work together.

I am wondering how is this different from Zapier, Integromat and similar services? Congrats team on the launch!
Andrus Purde
@sotak Great question! Zapier is great for simple connections (eg. sending each new contact from tool A to tool B), and we're pretty heavy users ourselves. It's like using digital duct tape. However when it comes to main sales and marketing use cases, things are often more complex. For example you may need to: * Sync your whole database from tool A to tool B based on certain conditions, and keep it in sync 24/7. * Record events (eg. email opens or website visits) back to the CRM * Capture metadata like traffic source or campaign tags for new contacts / leads * Tie all the data together to understand what marketing channels and messages are driving sales We've been working hard to make these more complex use cases as easy to use as possible. Our first App connector users seem to agree :)
Andrus Purde
Hey everyone! Andrus here, co-founder and CEO of Outfunnel. Thank you @kevin for hunting us! I’m excited to share what we’ve been building over the 6 months and explain a little bit about how we got here. 🛠 The inconvenient truth about marketing integrations: B2B marketing teams use more tools than ever but integrations haven’t kept up, and data is siloed. Most 1st party integrations are suboptimal (putting it mildly) and most 3rd party integration tools are like digital duct tape—OK for zip-zapping light connections quickly, but more complex use cases get complex very quickly. After helping over 900 companies unite their sales and marketing efforts with Outfunnel, we saw an increasing need to create deep data connections between your CRM and marketing tools. So, we built a tool that does just that. Say hello to Outfunnel's App connector. 🔁 Keep sales and marketing contacts in sync 24/7 - Connect your CRM and marketing automation tool to keep your contact lists in sync. Never waste time on exporting and importing lists again. 📥 Automatically share marketing data with sales - All marketing engagement (email opens, clicks, web visits, form fills, etc.) data gets recorded in your CRM. Sales has full context and sells smarter. 📮 Sync form submissions to CRM automatically - Connect your CRM and web forms, and automatically sync form submissions to your CRM, along with key data such as web visit and source/medium info. 📣 Use CRM contacts as custom ad audiences (Coming soon) - Create segments in your CRM and warm your leads automagically with ads. 🏃‍♂️ It’s affordable and setup takes just 15 minutes - Plans start at $19 per month and you can try it free for 14 days! Outfunnel already works with Pipedrive, Copper, HubSpot CRM and a number of marketing tools like Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign. Don’t see your preferred tools listed? Let us know—we’re constantly adding new sales-marketing integrations to our pipeline. Over to you, ProductHunt community. Keen to hear your questions, feedback, and suggestions!
Ken Moo
Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't this be doable with Zapier already? It's hard to replace Zapier because people are still gonna use it for other stuffs anyway. Could you explain more on how this is better than Zapier or other solutions?
Andrus Purde
@ken_moo That's a very valid question. We ourselves have been and will continue to be keen Zapier users. It's great for simple connections but more complex use cases get very difficult to manage and pricey very fast. Where our App connector typically does a better job are things like: * Recording events (eg. email opens or website visits) back to the CRM * Syncing your whole database from tool A to tool B based on certain conditions, and keeping it in sync 24/7. * Capturing metadata like traffic source or campaign tags for new contacts / leads * Tieing all the data together to understand what marketing channels and messages are driving sales All in all it's a deeper connection that's easier to set up and use. And we can do this because we focus on connecting sales and marketing tools specifically whereas Zapier is more universal. Was this useful?
Peep Laja
Nice! Is it bi-directional?
Andrus Purde
@peeplaja Yes we aim to create a 2-way integration where it makes sense. Eg. sync contacts from CRM to a marketing tool such as ActiveCampaign, then sync email engagement back to the CRM. (But we can also sync new contacts from email marketing tools to the CRM)
Aditya
?makers Congratulations on the launch! Great to see you engaging with the community in such a meaningful way :) Would love to know if some insights are also provided to tweak the strategy and help the teams make data driven decisions?
Andrus Purde
@adityavsc Great question! So indeed, while connecting sales and marketing data is our current focus, the next step logical after that is to turn this data into insights and make it actionable. One for our next PH campaign(s) :)
Aditya
@andruspurde makes perfect sense! One step at a time :) We will be happy to see the updates soon!
Sten Tamkivi
Nothing like a boring tool that just works.
Katheriin Liibert
@seikatsu We sure think so! Thanks 🙏
Federico Wengi
I have to say that, as an investor, it´s a pleasure to see how Andrus and the team developed in the last 12 months. Also fantastic to see the new integrations....the most useful and boring tool to connect sales and marketing :)
Andrus Purde
@federicowengi Thank you Federico :)
Alex Bass
Man oh man, what a great replacement for PieSync for some use-cases (especially now that they have been acquired and deprecated essentially by Hubspot)! This is stellar! So cool that you can take the core Outfunnel functionality of activity logging and lead scoring and make it work for other outreach tools. Any chance/plans for ConvertKit? Contemplating switching over my marketing from ConvertKit to Outfunnel anyway (already using it for Sales), but still! Awesome work team, super impressive!
Andrus Purde
@alexhbass Thank you for being among the first to trust us back in the day, and for the kind words here, Alex! ConvertKit has come up a couple of times before. No immediate plans but it's on our to-do list.
Yaagneshwaran Ganesh
This is just brilliant! Reminds me of the 4 levels of integration Scott Brinker often talks about! The impact of deep integrations is obvious to those who have felt the pain. Well done @andruspurde, @niirehtak and the entire Outfunnel team!
Andrus Purde
Thank you @yaagneshwaran :)
Vivek
?makers good job. This is a nice tool in marketing domain
Katheriin Liibert
@vivekweb2013 Thanks Vivek!
@andruspurde and @markus_leming congrats on your new launch! This will reduce a lot the barriers of entry allowing us to connect our tools and keep data flow in the right path to segment and more. Have a great launch day!
Katheriin Liibert
@andruspurde @markus_leming @felipe_millan Thanks for supporting us on our launch day 🙏
Avery Schrader
Estonia's low-key super saas.
Katheriin Liibert
@avery_schrader We might use this as a tagline on job boards, thanks 😎
Juuso Koskinen
Congrats on the launch @andruspurde @markus_leming & co – happy to see this live!
Ruben Wolff
The app is certainly interesting and useful, but why would you market it as "the most boring marketing tool on the planet"? Can't it have an impact on the competition (with Zapier for instance)?
Katheriin Liibert
@rubenwolff Fair question Ruben! Syncing data isn't very sexy or exciting, so we decided to be upfront and honest about it being a bit boring of a tool, instead of promising confetti cannons and sparks flying. Not everyone loves this angle, but it definitely helps capture the attention and adds a bit of humor to the world of B2B software.
Bogdan Ionita
Definitely the right kind of boring :D
Katheriin Liibert
@bogdan_ionita We sure think so 😉
Joao Rei
Ah, the eternal question of connecting sales and marketing. I wonder how much money has been wasted on sub optimal tools that don't do the job right. If anyone is gonna do it right, it's @andruspurde and @niirehtak . Kick ass team! How can I be so excited about such a boring tool!?!??!
Katheriin Liibert
Thanks for the enthusiasm, @jcrei 😊
Kair Käsper
This is the future of growth stacks, congrats on nailing it early on. Are you planning on integrating with Drift?
Andrus Purde
@kairkasper Drift hasn't been requested that much thus far but it's definitely on our watch list.
Razvan Girmacea
Best of luck with Outfunnel Andrus and team. You have so much experience with marketing and sales so I am sure this will turn out great.
Alo Arro
Very cool! Hubspot + Mailchimp integration is really useful, thanks for building this.
Stefanie Grieser
Over 900+ companies use Outfunnel now? HUGE! Love this team. Way to go @andruspurde + Outfunnel team. Great answer on the Zapier question, btw. Also, I think someone else mentioned it, but think it deserved to be repeated: The need for deeper integrations and especially in B2B is key.
