I like this concept. It could serve as a more frequent, lightweight "town hall". How are companies using this today, @serainasilja? Any unexpected use cases?
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@rrhoover You're spot on! Companies turn to audio to make their town halls asynchronous and screen-free. Another widespread use case? Leadership memos: Everything from weekly CEO check-ins and recaps to executive intros or the founders' story and big announcements. This is maybe not an unexpected use case for you (or perhaps it is?!), but we've seen investor updates: founders put their voice behind the new, the good, the bad, and the ugly at their startup and share it with their investors - weekly, monthly, whenever it makes sense. Have you seen this, too? 👀

Today’s the day, Product Hunt. We’re excited to share Pager.fm with you. Pager makes it easy for anyone to start and share private podcasts and audio stories with their team, function, or whole company. First, a little context: In 2019, we launched The Idealists Podcast. No experience. No Audience. No nothing. And still, we got surprised by the listeners’ engagement. They reached out, asked for the next episode, shared their stories, suggested new guests, and told us what they enjoyed most. Some even mentioned purchasing the products of our guests. We have never experienced this level of excitement before. So, one windy Copenhagen morning, @smnmmnn asked: Are companies using podcasts internally to engage their people? Two years later, we know a thing or two about why and how organizations like Nike, Shopify, Salesforce, Lululemon, Atlassian, and the like turn to audio storytelling and use the power of podcasts to build more engaged and connected teams. Because sometimes, text is just not enough, and video is too much. Whether it’s an onboarding series, leadership memo, employee interview, company update, or on-demand training, Pager is powered by our mission to give people the tools they need to use their voice and be heard at work, one podcast at a time. The missing piece? A home for all your company stories. In other words, a secure, easy-to-use, and delightful platform that makes private podcasting a piece of cake. That’s why we’re building Pager, the podcast platform for teams. Want to take Pager (public beta) for a spin? Brilliant idea, audio (audio only) has the magic to broadcast not only information, but also the emotion or passion behind ideas, congratulations Seraina and team!
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@seansong Thanks, Sean! I agree with everything you say. 👆 And it's an exciting space to be in. Audio-only is still underrated in today's workplaces but has the potential to make remote work more human and connected without being glued to a screen or invited to a live meeting. Have you heard of any interesting use cases before?
Sean Song
@serainasilja In China, big organisations used to use broadcast for important notifications, it is like radio.
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@seansong Interesting! Speaking of radio, I know a big Nordic company that has a radio channel run by and for their factory workers. Kinda cool! 📻 Is there a specific company or platform behind the broadcasting in China?

Pretty neat stuff! Knowledge management & sharing is absolutely key for distributed companies⚡️
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@carlo_thissen That's what we keep hearing! Messages get lost easily in day-to-day work channels. And they often lack the human element. We imagine Pager to be the place for conversations and lasting messages that matter shared by and for employees, so we can all learn from one another. 💭 How do you share important messages with your team?
Carlo Thissen
@serainasilja I resonate a lot with your reasoning on the human element. It's what we 100% support at tl;dv as well! Very curious to take a deeper look at your product and if we can adopt it in our team :)
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@carlo_thissen We'd love for you to take Pager for a test ride. And we're very curious to hear how you would use it internally. Inspiration: https://pager.fm/resources/inter... I'm also happy to send you concrete examples and case studies. Just ping me here: silja@pager.fm!

What's the plan for pricing?
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@deadhippo Thanks for asking! We'll introduce three tiers later this year, starting at 249$ per month for up to 500 listeners. Happy to share the details. Where can I reach you?
Alan Watchorn
@serainasilja That's OK. But thanks for the response. I think you might save some people a lot of time if you are upfront with your pricing plans.
Seraina Silja Hürlimann
@deadhippo I agree. 100%. Easy and transparent pricing is important to us and our customers. It's on our to-do list. :)
