Paradime Synq is a collaboration plugin bringing analytics and business operations team closer. With Synq dashboard annotation, conversation synq between dashboards and Slack and finally JIRA tasks can all be managed in the context of data.
Today we are launching Paradime Synq - the collaboration plugin to bring analytics and business operations together.
At Paradime, our mission is to bring people and data together. Our goal is to bring data, analytics and business operations in a single collaborative workflow. So finally, Paradime Synq closes that gap by providing a rich surface for that complex last mile of analytics.
When @fabio_di_leta and I were building data teams at Octopus and Revolut, our single biggest team productivity and happiness killer was the endless stream of data requests, questions and conversations flowing through in Slack that had no data context - screenshots from random dashboards, repeating questions on the same dashboards, metrics and KPIs from existing and new folks, end of quarter reporting madness and so on.
The last mile of analytics is messy, non-linear and full of unexpected surprises.
So we built Paradime Synq as
a. un-opinionated collaboration layer plugin that can be installed as a Chrome browser extension alongside #looker or #tableau with more coming soon.
b. No new tab and no new tool to learn. With existing integrations with Slack and Jira, it means all the existing processes continue to run as usual.
How will Paradime Synq work?
🎯 The Chrome extension sits alongside Looker and Tableau (to start with) — no new BI tool to adopt.
🎯 It adds annotation, conversation, and task management in a single, simple loop—so data conversations stay in the context of data and data requests don’t go out of control.
🎯 It’s free to install and use — no buying cycle to go through.
🎯 It’s agnostic to the data transformation layer - you could be on dbt Core™, dbt Cloud™, Alteryx, Stored Procedures , BigQuery scheduled queries - can be anything
This truly has been a labour of love for us.
It is probably the most deceptively complex product we have built as a company.
The trickiest part of the whole development process has been how Synq can work alongside the existing tools and dashboards without breaking the user flow, how we can be as un-opinionated as possible by providing a simple flexible surface for future developments.
@rihab_zd Thanks for your support! Currently, synq integrates with:
1️⃣ Task Manager apps: Jira (+ Linear and Asana coming very soon)
2️⃣ BI Tools: Looker and Tableau
3️⃣ Bi-directional messaging with Slack - so your team can talk from anywhere!
What apps do you use and would like Synq to support? 🙌
