Hey Hunters! I'm one of the founders of Particle, and just wanted to share some thoughts on Particle Mesh.
We've been making IoT development kits for a few years now – first for Wi-Fi and second for cellular. We've shipped hundreds of thousands of Spark Cores, Photons, and Electrons to makers and engineers around the world.
We decided to add mesh networking because we've seen so many customers struggle to get two or more devices talking directly to one another. It's such a common problem that it's surprising that there aren't good solutions that make it easy to build local radio networks for IoT devices – especially if you want the connections to be secure and reliable.
We've got three development kits for sale:
Argon (Wi-Fi + mesh + BLE): $15
Boron (LTE + mesh + BLE): $29
Xenon (mesh + BLE): $9
Argons and Borons can act as standalone devices or as gateways for a mesh network; Xenons can join those networks.
Hope you enjoy and let me know if you've got any questions!
