Hey everyone! In the past, I used iPhone Screen Time to limit social media and YouTube but I would know the 4-digit passcode and could just disable the block😐 Then I tried some other distraction-blocking apps like freedom.to, but they all had workarounds (since they weren't native to the device) that rendered them useless. So I returned to Screen Time and let a friend enter and hold the passcode for me. This worked, until I tricked her into giving it to me by making up some legitimate-sounding excuse. Plus it was inconvenient and unreliable. So I built Password Locker, where you store a blocker password like a Screen Time pin, and to retrieve it, you have to go through a tedious 20 min process like counting the number of times the number "2" appears in a list of numbers. The retrieval is annoying enough that I never feel like disabling the block, but I know I can get the pin back at anytime without needing to rely on someone else.
