Hi guys,
I'm Denys, VP of Marketing at Readdle. Today we bring the best PDF editing to iOS.
We all know that PDFs are not editable and we all been there when we wanted to quickly edit that invoice, upload a new logo, update presentation slides or CVs.
PDF Expert 6 is a major new version that lets you do all of the above. It allows you to
- edit PDF text
- add and replace images
- add links
- redact sensitive information.
PDF Expert was downloaded by over 5 million people over the years, this major version should give them what was impossible before.
I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and comments.
I use this quite a lot. It's very useful for me (I need to mark-up PDFs regularly for classroom materials). In many cases, it works better than Acrobat Pro (which crashes too much).
I wish there were a way to toggle between text and drawing faster. For example, I may need to draw a circle around a misspelled word and then type the correct spelling. This currently takes several click and can get tedious quickly.
I have random problems from time to time invoking the menu, editing lines or boxes, but the main pain point with this is the Dropbox integration. Uploading to Dropbox to a folder that is nested several levels down takes up to 20 minutes! Why? To go one level down the folder tree, it takes several minutes, so getting to /Dropbox/mystuff/client/resumes/2017 for example, would take 15-20 minutes.
That said, we continue to use it. For the Dropbox issue, we upload to the root of Drobox, and then move the file where we need on a desktop. Not ideal, but if we remember to do it, it's much faster.
And no, it's not as cheap as other software. But if it keeps them in business and the market can bear the price, more power to them.
Awesome update!
Although worth every penny, it's been a pricey app over the years. Just looked through my App Store purchases; Original purchase $9.99 (5 years ago 😳), IAP $4.99 (Fill forms, annotate PDFs, sign documents — which I believe is now included in initial app purchase), and Pro $9.99.
I'm looking forward to purchasing the macOS version one day.
