Looks nice, but one thing that's vital for presenting any web/app mockups is the ability to easily view it at the correct size. Seeing zoomed out or way to zoomed in screens only works for some types of content.

@digit Spot on. 1:1 pixel view is a great idea. Noted!

Great product! Can't wait to share with my team.

Any reason why it isn't a standalone app? I tried it and it made my slides look so nice right away, but I'm worried about the privacy. It says you have access to all public messages on Slack. For my company, we are very careful about Slack integrations and I don't think our admins will approve something that has access to all our company messages.
Georg Petschnigg
@jadlimcaco good question. Paste makes it easy for teams to gather, organize, and share their work and that fits alongside a companies communication. So we designed Paste to deeply integrate with Slack so that you don't have to watch yet another inbox, manage a new set of permissions, groups, or file/folder structure. For one off / individual work email would have been fine, but it did not scale to a team with multiple projects. That said, we take privacy seriously and we need to think through the transition from files/folders/permission/emails towards a messaging centered workflow. Paste is the first example of major productivity tool built with messaging in mind.

I can't go back to regular presentations after using Paste. Hope this keeps growing.

Pros:

Beautiful results, 10x faster to build a presentation, no hassle.

Cons:

No clicker while presenting. Can't download for offline viewing in case internet breaks.

@applotse thank you! Have you tried Paste with Slack? Paste is visual collaboration for Slack. It's for teams to gather, organize, and share their work. We use it for everything from design reviews, feature discussions, team meetings, even board presentations. It's deeply integrated with Slack comments, threads, directories, mentions, and channels.

Way too expensive!, more expensive than Slack??? we will just use copy and paste directly with Slack.

**UPDATE 04-18-17** We just went live in the Slack App Directory. https://slack.com/apps/A3WNR7LHW... Paste adds visual collaboration to Slack. We built it to make sharing work easy. In our mind Slack is like a room with chairs and talking people, Paste provides a table for artifacts and work products. At FiftyThree we use it for our walk-throughs, all-hands, board presentations, feature reviews, hackweek setups, anything that requires the team to gather around ideas and a story. Paste is the first productivity tool built with messaging in mind. It uses Slack as a way to organize work around a conversation. Decks can be organized into channels to go along with the discussion. Threaded comments are real-time and synced between Slack and Paste. Respond from Slack, reply in Paste. Use all the niceties like join/leave and mentions. Assign slides to your team if you need a hand. Anything shared is organized in decks. They are ideal for working in parallel. The grid gives you an overview at all times. You don't have to make slides though. Paste does a bunch of auto-formating for you. Just paste. Try pasting articles, URL, videos, Sketch files, PDF, images, PSD, AI files, Google docs/sheets, NY Times articles you name it. Right now the experience is optimized for desktop, our mobile app and Paper integration should follow in a bit. Thanks for letting us know what you think!

@georgpetschnigg I love using paste for our Customer Account Reviews! I'm not quite understanding how to use it on slack though. Definitely want to be able to share and work on a paste presentation with the team in slack, but downloaded the app and just not quite sure how to do anything on slack. I paste it, and there is just a link and if you click it opens to another browser. What can I do with it in slack?

This is SICK🤢 I love it. Very Dope🚬🚬
Andreas Duess
Looks great, but.....what is it? Is it google slides without the presentation features? Is it mural.ly without the cooperation features? Is it one of the many team-and-work-review solutions but without the commenting features? Wireframing? Design? I am genuinely confused. It looks great, but what the heck does it do that other products don't?
Georg Petschnigg
@andreasduess Paste is visual collaboration for Slack. It's for teams to gather, organize, and share their work. We use it for everything from design reviews, feature discussions, team meetings, even board presentations. We think of Slack as a room where people talk, Paste is the table with the artifacts. It's probably the most first productivity app built with messaging in mind and deeply integrates with Slack comments, threads, directories, mentions, and channels.

@georgpetschnigg agreed with @andreasduess. It's a really great tool, guys! By the way, I'm developing presentation tool about three years, but even me don't get the point from these gifs also. And it takes some time to figure out in product itself how it works and what for.

This looks super great! Love the fluid design 😍
Joshua Tabansi
The sign-up/create-an-account on-boarding flow is sweeet 💙, what made you forgo password authentication?
Georg Petschnigg
@tabansi the early release of Paste has email log in, we avoided creating another password and rely on the security of people's email accounts. That said, Paste is designed for messaging products like Slack. You need to log in with Slack to get access to all the collaboration features.
