I think we're continuing to move into a world where people with ideas can realize them in an instant. This is definitely a step in that direction. Super excited to try it out. Paper has been my go to tool for brainstorming, icon sketching and wire-framing. Keep up the great work.

Nice!! Super handy!

I absolutely love Paper. I can't wait to get my hands on this!

This update is amazing. Everything I use Paper for made even easier.

This looks amazing. Great job as usual, FiftyThree team!

This is incredible. The whole point of a notebook, whether real or digital, is to get the ideas out of your head as quickly as possible and this latest update is exactly what I've been waiting for. Great work, FiftyThree team!

Love paper! The app feels just so natural and they focus on having a pleasurable experience, not just functional. Which is refreshing. Although there is a lot of power user features that needs to be learnt. I wonder how do you balance the ease of use versus power-user features that goes out of the way but need to be learnt?
Bill Morein
@matgosselin This was definitely an area we spent a ton of time thinking about. We did think that it was critical that users understood the basics of shape recognition and smarts (fill and move) as well as connectors and cut. If you don't get that, then you don't get the basics of how to use it and what is special. After that we tried to prioritize the features that needed to be explained. We explain things to users through the "Learning Paper" journal, though tips videos, and through some wanderthroughs. We split things between those based on importance and based on the best medium to explain them. We don't have this all figured out by any means but definitely think about it a lot.

Hi Product Hunt! Think Kit is our biggest update to Paper since we first launched - a whole new set of tools designed to make your ideas shine. People love Paper today, but the most frequent comment we hear is “I can't draw,” even from people who are constantly sketching ideas on whiteboards or Post-its. Think Kit's three tools (Diagram, Fill, and Cut) give everyone the ability to quickly create flowcharts, wireframes, diagrams, and charts so that they can communicate their ideas more clearly and beautifully. We're also adding PowerPoint/Keynote export so you can easily create a beautiful presentation from any journal and send it to Slack/Box/Dropbox. We had a lot of really interesting technical, usability, and aesthetic problems to solve in building Think KIt. We're more than happy to answer any questions people have.

@wmorein sounds like an amazing update. I've always thought Paper was the perfect tool for sketching quick app ideas and wireframes, and just picked it up yesterday to create some new design ideas. Can't wait to try out the latest tools. Congrats guys!
Ryan Mac
@wmorein yes yes yes. I loved Paper but always ended up back on my notebook or whiteboard. Think Kit does more than I can do with either. It's not just an improvement on Paper, it's an improvement on paper.

@wmorein Great work, always tried to use Paper for sketching ideas. The new tools are just what I needed :)

@wmorein This is so great! ...Soapboxing here, but I'm taking my chances: Paper for the iPhone 6+! (I know there's technical challenges, but I am stubborn.)

@ryanjamurphy We hear you. The most frequent request we get...

Wow this is so amazing. I love Paper and Pencil but like you said @wmorein, not really big on drawing. I used to draw diagrams in Paper but thats free hand. This looks beyond useful. Awesome update!

I've been waiting for this for a while! time to find my stylus

Very excited about this. Looking forward to the keynote export. Paper alone makes me want to go back to using a full size iPad, because while it works on a Mini the extra screen space helps too much. Thanks for the great app!
Dylan Evans
I can finally draw. :-)

Very cool! Can't wait to try out it and create wireframes!

Wow, what a major update!

This looks so awesome. Finally makes me wonder if I should ditch my dead tree notebook for an iPad. Really burns that there's no Android app.
