If you have ever bought or sold a home and been frustrated by the process of submitting an offer, guessing what the “best and final offer” should be, or waiting for info on other offers then you are going to love Haus.
Haus is the latest Expa company, they’ve built an offer submission and acceptance platform for open and fair home buying and selling. The product is designed to improve efficiency and reduce anxiety during one of the most significant transactions in people’s lives.
Haus is launching today, so please let us know what you think
@mslagh Thanks Mike! We'd learned that real estate was very different across localities, but what was surprising is how different it is realtor to realtor. Many that we've talked to have found the product's benefits for their buyers or their sellers intuitive, but they really vary as to which part. Also, we were surprised by how many would point out the fairness piece (anonymized names in offer comparison) and say they really liked that.
Thanks Eric!
Anyone who has bought or sold a home or even chatted with friends about it can relate to the headaches and anxiety that come from the existing real estate process. We looked at this problem and thought “how can we solve it with technology?” and now we have Haus! Please let us know what you think.
Buying/selling a home is such a painful process, and one of those you can't believe no one has solved yet. Hoping this product gets us across the finish line. Haven't gone through the end-to-end process yet (since I'm not buying a house...) but looks like a very straightforward and simple take on the problem, good stuff!
@0gishere we don't have one planned yet, but it would be great to get feedback from you and others in the community to hear what your use cases are. Thanks for asking!
why would agents or sellers want a part of this in any highly desirable top market? the lack of transparency is what gets sellers in these markets crazy high offers. agents game communications with the whole "best and final" and buyers detach from reality and let emotions drive the price up, where sellers then win. or maybe I'm missing something...
@passingnotes Thanks for the feedback David! In general we believe openness leads to a more efficient market. We've heard lots of stories of buyers missing out on a super competitive home for which they would have paid well more than the final sale price, but they never had a chance to compete for it.
