@chaplot Cheers man! Really glad that you like it!
I checked your site and you have pretty sick collection of travel photos.
If you feel like making a step further with them and that it's time to take care of proper presentation of those images defintiely give Photler a try :)
@chaplot
Thanks for those nice words! It's so motivational and it gives us the power to keep working harder on what we've already done. It means a lot!
@davidesquimal No problem at all! You can easily import your photos from Instagram to Photler with just a few clicks and pin them to the map! Easy as pie :) I encourage to come and check how easy it is! It would be lovely to see your pictures at Photler.
Really interesting! I've recently changed my photo portfolio system from 500px to format.com (http://jpvalery.photo) and I must say this hasn't been an easy quest!
I really dig the map view! It's really amazing.
Sidenotes :
* http://nataliahorinkova.com/ quoted as an example has dummy titles "HEADLINE BLOG" / "tagline blog"
* https://photler.com/preview/native doesn't work on my end
* Maybe worth mentioning if you have a free trial or something.
* Also, a quick fun product to raise your brand awareness could be to have a free tier where you just have a map and you can add like 1-5 pictures per pin. A fun way to display your travel pedigree as a user, and a good way for you to increase your exposure :)
@jpvalery Huge thanks for your kind words! That means a lot. Great feedback.
We're also proud of the map and would love to see your photos in there as well, great that you like it too :)
Oops, Natalia must have overlooked this. Good that you pointed that out, we'll let her know about this! Thanks on her behalf.
We switched the links, so you could check all the themes right now. Native - http://native.photler.com/.
Regarding free trial period. We mentioned the free trial option in Plans & Pricing. Do you think it should be also mentioned on the homepage?
It's quite an interesting idea - this free tier. We didn't explore this option and will definitely consider it!
I would love to see your site that you've built using format.com and if you'd like to spice things up with our design, then definitely give this free trial period a try :) You'll have plenty of companions during this quest to help you with everything. :)
@pkulczycki pleasure is mine - always happy to (hopefully) help!
Must have missed it - might be worth putting it more in the highlight :)
You can check my website made with format : http://jpvalery.photo
Gonna try to find some spare hours to test out Photler :)
@jpvalery Putting it in the spotlight on homepage might be a good idea, we'll see if we can fit this info somewhere in there.
Just browsed a bit through your site and I gotta say, cool pics you got there :)
If you'll find a minute or two definitely check out how they will look with Photler's big display. Already I can imagine some of your images from France on the fullscreen slider on your Photler site!
Thanks again from your help and if you'll join Photler for a test drive, make sure to let me know, so I could give you a hand if needed :)
@dredurr Thanks a lot, glad you liked it! It's a result of a serious brainstorm session at the office :) Tons of ideas joined the competition but this one won by unanimous decision :)
@davkovac You made my day with this comment David, thanks! We put a lot of effort into the design to really give you the opportunity to stand out. Seeing that it's being appreciated is a great feeling for the whole team.
When it comes to videos you can definitely upload them to your website. You could either include them in your blog posts or even dedicate a whole page/pages to your videos. Photler is all about having everything, beautifully displayed in one place.
Oh, and thanks for compliments about UX, we're working daily to assure the best possible quality of it.
Looking forward to seeing your photos on Photler!
@davkovac
Creative individuals are busy folks and optimizing their workflow is a key thing for us. Easy import is one of he ways to achieve that, thanks for your words of appreciation!
@iamthev
Wow - your words just gave all of us in the TEAM a whole new reason to work even harder!!! Thank you so much and we're waiting for your feedback.
@monikaciemiecka Thank you Monika! We're so happy to be able to spread the love for traveling. Do you have any travel photos of your own to share with the world? :)
@monikaciemiecka Well then, there is nothing more for me to say apart from: you're welcome to test Photler yourself and give your memories a place of their own :) We'll wait for you with our arms wide open!
Thank you @bramk for hunting us and shout out to all Product Hunters out there!

Thanks again to everyone for the support and feel free to reach out in comments to share your thoughts & questions :)
Any chance of partnering with SmugMug? I like your focus on travel. The earlier comment on free travel accounts where you limit photo postings per country pin seems like a good one. I'd work to build a community of travel photographers where you can virtual visit an area and follow a style (food, people, landscape, animal, tourist) and even a specific photographer.
Make money from user's pro accounts and on visitors via lifestyle ads (camera branding via EXIF info, hotels & AirB&B locations to stay at, clothing).
@riptide360 Sorry Steven, but partnering with SmugMug is highly unlikely. Do you have a website of your own in there? If so, I'd be happy to take a look at it, so please share if possible :)
Valuable feedback, thanks for that! I like the idea of checking the different aspects of each country as you mentioned - food, people, animals, etc..
Free accounts are something worth considering and we keep it in mind, but my main concern is that there would be plenty of dead and inactive accounts instead of active community.
Right now you can visit the world and search for inspiration on our Get Inspired section - https://photler.com/inspire/. But be careful there's a risk that you will feel the immediate need to pack your bag and travel :)
@riptide360
Thanks Stephen! Photler is made by travel photographer for travel photographers.
Having a great idea is not everything, your product has to attract people you are looking for. Photler targets young photographers, aged 25-35, who travel often. They don’t have to be professionals, their photos may need some work on, but they need to be passionate about it. Geographically, they are mostly from USA, Canada and Europe, but as travelers, they may be everywhere in the world. They’re called Millennials – people who are by 30% (and that’s a huge number) more likely to travel abroad and take photos, than the older generations.
More specifically, Photler describes its target market as people, who want to take better photos and look for photo inspirations. They also want to travel more, as traveling is slowly becoming their biggest passion. What’s more, they are relatively experienced with Internet applications and are up-to-date with technical innovations. Most importantly, they don’t have their own website, or they aren’t satisfied with the one they own, so they are looking for something that can present their works in a better way.
So what are the goals of Photler’s typical target person? Let’s name him Jack. Jack wants to share his photos with his friends and family, but also with some fellow photographers, so he can feel more appreciated by people in the industry. He has a need to belong and be noticed in a group of travelers and photographers. Jack also wants to get some inspirations before his next holiday or weekend trip, as well as to take better photos when he’s there.
Jack faces a few challenges in terms of achieving his goals. Firstly, he feels guilty about keeping thousands of photos on his hard drive and not showing them to anyone. He also thinks that social media don’t allow to present photos in a clean and professional way. Jack would like to have his own place in the Internet, but he doesn’t have the web designing skills to build a website by himself. He also can’t afford to hire a professional web designer or an agency.
