For all the coffee fans, plant fans or coffeeplant fans – just got myself one of these. You'll never need to water them so it's ideal for people that are too busy drinking coffee and forgetting about their plants. This one takes care of itself. Can anyone say from where can I buy this? Pre-Order link on the site is not working. I am from India. Do they ship International? Is there video showcasing how it works?
@evivz we are working on shipping the product to more countries. For now it is available only in the http://pikaplant.com/stores/ and in the Bay Area. Message me at shauna@pikaplant.com to order one from me if the link isn't working. Is anyone else having problems with the pre-order link?
@originell I think the closest shop to you is in Berlin...maybe it's time for a visit? :p
We're working on a shipping solution. I'll keep you updated on developments!
While I like the idea of a self watering plant, I can't help feel that there is something sad about having the plant sealed off from the world haha (in the case of Pikaplant Jar) The others are really cool though!
@benwilsondesign@orlesaurus that is true, but also part of the critical design aspect of the product that I like. The origin story of this product was to develop greenery for hospitals without bringing contagions in. But not surprisingly, the product gained traction in design communities first!
What an idea, can I replace the water tank with my water dispenser. Or can you sell water dispenser with a plant being watered every time I drink a glass of water .. something like that. Great work guys!
