Can't get on the site? -

@marty The developer's server might have crashed under the amount of traffic due to the 2.0 update I guess. He'll has the site up and running as fast he can, I suspect.
Joe Fletcher
@marty It's back up. Very slow: 24 seconds to load. Lots of assets. Could really benefit from a CDN, among other optimizations.

I bought it, but I can't seem it import anything. What am I doing wrong?
Roman
Default Image viewer on Mac is atrocious. If Pixave can cycle through images without having to open them all, I'm sold

Hunter
@romanzadyrako Well, err you mean: open a folder and display all the images inside? Or something else?

Can it import from iphone? I saw import from camera only.
Joshua Pinter
@johnnyquachy Yes. The video shows importing from iPhone and iPad:

Oh boy, version 1 already was a serious candidate to replace the adorable but no longer actively developed Ember. With version 2 Pixave is gonna be the default image organizer for anyone who's working with images on the Mac. A gorgeous app stuffed with useful functions and smart little thingies, too many to name here. Brilliant!

This is the most painful onboarding process I have ever had for a new product. WTH!!!!
Michael John McClain
Please fix this. Importing photos is near impossible, if you want to import them in their current library.

This is great. I've been using Ember for a long time and I can finally switch to a modern, powerful new solution. Great work.

So I purchased it and I'm kinda disappointed. It seemed better than what it actually is, still needs a lot of work specially UX-wise.

As someone who has thousands upon thousands of images on his Mac, this is great. Not to mention the beautiful design and UI! I love it.
Jeff French
While this has a lot of the basic functionality I was looking for, the interactions/usability make the tool unwieldy every time I attempt to use it. Browsing, editing, sorting, and tagging images all feel like cumbersome activities when they should, of course, be quick and intuitive. I keep trying to come back to using this product and keep turning back every time I spend a few minutes with it.

This looks amazing

track ID on the overview video anyone?

The fact it gives users the option of using a referenced files is killer. With Pixave, as opposed to similar apps I tried, I can leave my assets where they are. Oh, and the chrome plugin is great.

please browser extensions u.u

Does this import the actual images and create a database, or it can just reference them across my various existing folders?
Ton
Hunter
@merchantguru Both. It can copy images into its own database or it can reference them in your various folders or drives...
Andreas Duess
Absolutely brilliant. Love this.

this software used to work pretty well, sometimes it would hang on a process for a while, but it would work. Since the last OSX update, this app is useless, it crashes everytime you try to import an icon or use an icon.

I wrote to the developer a couple times in the last 30 days or so, he never answered, so I guess this app is dead.

Find another option and make better use of your money.

Pros:

Very easy to use, and a good software (while it worked)

Cons:

The software doesn't work anymore, and the developer don't answer

chris slane

Doesn’t move original files, unless imported.

Pros:

Could be a great DAM app, reads many file types -more than just images.

Cons:

No list view. Currently not working on Mojave BETA.
