Alain here - I lead Plaid’s identity and fraud teams and I’m super excited to launch Plaid Identity Verification and Monitor. Some background: my co-founders and I spent the last nine years building identity verification software after founding a company called Cognito. Back then, we wanted to build a Bitcoin remittance product and while doing that, we realized the real opportunity was building software to help Bitcoin companies navigate the ever changing KYC and compliance landscape.
