Whether you're aiming to achieve personal milestones or elevate your professional journey, Plan Quest offers a comprehensive toolkit for visioning, executing, and reflecting on your goals.
Hi, PH Friends!
Plan Quest was created for those determined to master their time, accomplish their goals, and elevate their well-being. It's more than a tool—it's your companion on the journey to living intentionally and achieving with purpose.
Here's how Plan Quest empowers you:
✈️ Transform any aspiration into a detailed, measurable plan with AI support.
🕒 Craft a visual timeline of your plan, complete with milestones, and monitor your steps towards success.
🎯 Focus on achieving outcomes, refining what success means for you along the way.
📋 Using AI, break down goals into manageable task lists.
🔄 Reflect on how your plan and progress are evolving over time. Take snapshots at key moments to form a story of your long-term plans.
I want to know if the tool has meaningful use to folks pursuing their individual goals, to the extent that they are willing to upgrade from the Free plan to the Pro Paid plan. If not, why and what do you recommend I change?
I plan to promptly address your 💬 feedback and will use your insights to guide the development of upcoming features to transition this tool from 🧪 Beta to Version 1️⃣.
@albertine I really like this app’s versatility, have used the template approach and just tried the AI initiated plan too, very intuitive and helps get a clear picture from which to start tackling the goal(s) in digestible and measured portions. The AI part is really helpful for breaking down a larger goal without spending much time formulating on your own.
@hosseinyazdi I appreciate your feedback. I'll start with making the web app mobile friendly and look into surfacing it as a mobile app once I find the right audience that appreciates this kind of tool.
After a few conversations following up on the feedback provided here, I have made the following changes:
- Make it easier to discover the milestone actions
- Ability to duplicate a milestone
- Ability to move a milestone between plans
- Sign up/in via Email
- Ability to re-order key results by drag / drop
- Move milestones up or down
- Making the detailed notes empty by default with a indicator how to use the / command
Mobile Web compatibility is the most requested feature, so that should be coming soon.
I wanted to open a bakery but I didn't have a measurable plan. With this app, I have now a well organized plan. With it, I know now how to start up. How to look up in the market, how to plan my time in order to achieve my goals. It’s a great starting point.
@ahmad_badereddin Thank you for sharing your experience so far. I hope it will be game-changing for you. Let me know how it goes throughout your journey. It helped you start now, but I'd love for it to help you make tangible progress over time.
Congratulations!!! Great app for laying out a plan to achieve a big goal. I think this could be a great assets personally and professionally. I think a mobile app is a must to take this product to the next level. Wish you the best Ali!
I am looking forward to see the mobile app of this product. In its current form it provides the basic and intuitive features to start a personal or work related product development. The current features it has would make a good start but I have noticed some nice to have items.
1. The drop down where you have the Stay Focused on Vision & Reflect on Mindset would be better if it was integrated as icons similar to what has been done for the screenshot.
2. Changing the date of the milestones and moving them around. They are hardcoded now with specific dates.
3. If AI could put some tips on the todo lists of the Key Result Details and the Objective details. Like a template specific to that objective and key result.
4. Could you save more metadata in the Screenshot?
Other than that I would like to know how would this integrate with already available platforms (Trello, Notion, ... )
Overall pretty impressive! 😎🥷🏾
@alixcpp All 4 points of feedback noted, good ideas!
1- You can click the icons on the timeline for additional options, for example, changing the date range of a milestone. I will make it easier to discover that from the UI.
2- In the editor of an objective or key results, there isa "Break it down" option when you type / in the editor. This would generate a task list specific to the goal, is this what you were asking for?
3- What kind of other metadata were you looking for in snapshotting?
@albertine
Point 1 I could see the icon change option but not the other options.
Point 2 Break it down is not there for me 🫤
Point 3 I see that you are snapshotting as webp... but how that would be handled later if you want to retrieve the data or go back in timeline. Also if i want to do REST calls to and API that you may provide I want to have access to the data there.
Another point to add also .... if I delete a project why you don't store it in an intermediate medium for some period ... people make mistakes 😅
@alixcpp do you see the new … added to improve discoverability of milestone options?
Curious, is snapshotting in its current form useful to you?
Would you be open for a 45 min interview to help me better understand what you are looking for?
Love how it simplifies a complex process. Would love to see the mobile version of it, and excited to see the plan templates get more nuanced and refined as adoption increases. Great work ghali!
My first encounter with Plan Quest was awesome. User friendly and straightforward setup.
Loved the Generate with AI feature, it detailed all the steps needed to reach my goal, which aligned with the research I’ve been conducting for the past couple of months.
Congrats on the release!
@moe_elabdala thank you for the feedback. Let me know over the next few weeks if the tool is a good place for tracking your progress.
Also, if you have any other suggestions to make the tool work better for you, please let me know.
@albertine I didn’t check the pro version yet, so I’m not sure if my suggestion would be a feature available in the pro version, but I think adding tasks assigned to Key results would be great.
Also, assigning those tasks to different users/team members with the ability to chat under each task for collaboration purposes.
I love the tool, I am eager to try it to plan ahead, and monitor where am I at in each step. Definitely this will help me reflect on what needs to be done to reach the outcomes I have in mind.
Congratulations on the launch !
I was trying to do my business plan on my own as I’m an MBA marketing emphasis graduate. The first steps took time since I’m overwhelmed with many responsibilities and work. My aim is to make a skin line with skin tools holding my name. Until I tried the plan.quest! It’s organized all my objectives with suggestions on each step! With the help of AI , it made my plan a piece of cake, professional and time saving! Thanks a lot for launching this app!
@alia_badereddin Thank you for the feedback. Over the next few weeks, I'd love to see if the app ends up being your Go to place to track progress on your plan(s).
Congratulations Ali!
It is a great tool indeed, but I wish you can add more sign in options (using email account maybe).
Looking forward to using Plan Quest.
Wonderfully done. I’m enjoying this it sure make planning lot easier, and clearer!
A mobile optimized version would be great to have, on later stages some advices, reminders and suggestions pop ups
This is a fantastic planning application and I love its integration with AI to create very organized plan and breakdown for me!
It would be much convenient if there is a mobile version so that i can check the plan more routinely (though it’s too high standard as everything just started!)
After all I love this application for intuitive plan making, and will stick on my plans and see how far I can go haha and witness the evolution of this!
@raymond_yang3 thank you for providing thoughtful feedback. Would Mobile web do it, or do you think a native app is essential? Please feel free to elaborate.
Great launch. There is a ton of depth here. As pleasant touches, I appreciated the amount of milestone icons to choose from, the "verify outcome" tool for KRs, and the options for telling a story through snapshots (like having reflections for each milestone in the final image).
Broad feedback:
- About LLM use: vital feature overall. The "verify outcome" tool's suggestions can vary, though, and it'd be nice to have its first verdict cached/saved to have something consistent to refer back to. That verdict should also maybe be hedged slightly ("this KR *may* be activity-based") since it can get subjective. But the LLM integration is overall eminently powerful + helpful. Creating entire AI plans from a single prompt in particular is killer for brainstorming. Huge positive.
- Note-taking editor for KRs is great and unexpectedly handy. I'd like the app to hint at what enhanced note-taking functionality you're missing out on as a free-tier user (to encourage you to upgrade to the pro tier).
- Although this is a long-term addition, what I'm mainly missing is a homepage or dashboard where I can (1) see an overview of each of my plans, maybe where each one is a tile that shows an AI summary of its next milestone and lists the milestone's KRs, and (2) quickly increment progress on those KRs/milestones with just one or two clicks. The user could still open up a plan's full page to view and edit its details, edit KR notes, or take snapshots. More creatively, a dashboard could also motivate the user by showing how long until their next milestone or next plan completion, showing an inspirational quote like the ones in the demo images on this PH page (it's good for atmosphere!), etc.
Smaller UI things:
- I didn't realize I could edit a plan's description until I accidentally clicked there. Plans' titles are a bit better on this issue because of that underline on hover, but it'd be good if both had a pencil button off to the side for editing.
- In light mode, the textboxes (eg for Objective and for KRs) have the same background color as their containing div. Something lighter (white?) would be good in pursuit of the same type of contrast as in dark mode.
- Can "View Plans" say "View Payment Plans"? At first I thought "View Plans" might show me the plans I've made :)
- KR Progress slider: snap to common percentages, e.g. 10% or 25% increments?
First impression is a resounding positive. It's already easy to use for its intended purpose and it shows a lot of promise. For me personally, I would be able to weigh the cost/benefit of subscribing at the yearly rate if there were creature comforts to hook me in like that dashboard, so I'm interested in seeing the product's direction after even more user feedback. Best of luck!!
@hadi_tarhini Home page and quotes suggestions are great!
For the pencils to edit title and description, I originally had it in the UI but ended up removing them to declutter the UI from too many buttons. Maybe the underline on hover for description is a good way to find that balance.
Good point on "View Plans", will change it.
Overall, I LOVE your feedback!
At my initial encounter and impression with the product preview, It looks quite attractive and a great enabler for those or any of us who likes to keep track of his Goals/Tasks/Reflections or a Life Book, while challenging him/herself to achieve.
