@onatcer Hey there, great question. The solar recharge port will be the same DC barrel port that you would normally charge PLUG through.
@jaybroni Officially, it has not been approved. However, we have taken PLUG with us on flights several times with no issues :)
@ashkan_aghassi @jaybroni This clearly violates the TSA guidelines for lithium batteries " Lithium ion (rechargeable) batteries are limited to a rating of 100 watt hours (Wh) per battery. These limits allow for nearly all types of lithium batteries used by the average person in their electronic devices. Lots of other similar products all stop at 27000mAh for exactly this reason.
@imatincr @jaybroni You're right, officially it is not within the FAA's guidelines, however we've had multiple instances where TSA has inspected, and cleared our PLUG prototype as a carry on for both domestic and international flights. Regardless, we are in the process of obtaining an FAA exemption certificate just to be on the safe side and ensure our customers never have to surrender their PLUG at the airport. Let me know if you have any questions!
@ashkan_aghassi I think you are doing the right thing working to get an FAA exemption. However, if the makers of high end cameras (RED) have no had any luck with this, then I doubt you will, but worth trying. If someone spends $199 on a product and then has it seized because they don't realize the risk they are at, they will blame you. I encourage you to make a clear note of what you wrote above on the Indiegogo page.
It looks awesome and could help convert into portable some devices that are not... how cool is that...

I am a little shocked by the price... while 48,000 mAh is a lot of power, it's not a ton. You can buy 20,000 mAh batteries on Amazon for $22.99 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016ZO...). Buy three of those and you get 12,000 more mAh, save $260 off retail price, all three combined weigh a quarter of a pound less than the PLUG, and I think they are TSA approved. The way I see it, the main selling point of the PLUG is that you get the AC wall outlets. Is this worth an extra $260? I guess that's up to you. I think it's a cool product, albeit insanely overpriced. If I've missed something, please let me know.
@emsmith1090 let it be . paypal saved me . i will get my refund back throug a case with paypal which i won . By the way your customer care didn't help much and also giving a forced review on a amazon doesn't qualify your company to be ethical
@ashkan_aghassi i don't believe in your company . your product thincharge doesn't qualify for a good quality product , i don't know if i have received a defect or what. i hardly believe quality used in plug will be good
