Plutus is a green app that stores and allows you to access your digital receipts from any retail or online store. Our goal is to eliminate paper receipts and reduce our carbon footprints.

@kempes76 Hi, yes! So if you bump into a POS system that offers digital receipts such as Square or Clover, you can type in your plutusID email and that should work!

We are so excited to finally share Plutus with the world and post on product hunt.
According to Green America, paper receipts consume over 3 million trees and 9 billion gallons of water each year in the US, resulting in over 4 billion pounds of CO2 and 300 million pounds of solid waste. In addition, 93% of receipts are coated in harmful chemicals, rendering them non-recyclable. Paper receipts have such a devastating impact on our environment and we wanted to provide a solution.
With Plutus, you can ditch paper receipts and opt for a digital option. Wherever a digital receipt is offered, simply type your PlutusID in the email section and we will take it from there!

@saul_shah Thank you and definitely! We are currently working on a marketplace within the app that will reward our users for collecting digital receipts instead of paper receipts. For every digital receipt collected, users will receive a certain amount of "seeds", which can then be redeemed for offers from some of our brand partners! These offers could be discounts for sustainable products such as reusable straws or water bottles, or even directly planting trees to further reduce your carbon footprint!
Been using Plutus since the beta launch and it has ben an amazing tool. I love how intuitive the app is and how the system works. Its so much easier to keep track of my spending and receipts. I really love the app and hope you guys find a lot of success. I was wondering if you are considering adding a budgeting/expense tracking feature? Keep up the great work!
