@YennieSolheim It seems like Pokemon Go has taken over everyone's smartphones almost overnight. Has the success of the game surprised you all? What do you believe is the reason for its huge success? Outside of it being a ton of fun obviously lol.

My entire office is playing this. People are walking around the block at 11:30 at night. What is going on.

Alas! I can already picture thousands of children booking it down the street because a Charizard was spotted 3 blocks away. It will be mayhem and it will be wonderful.

This is an amazing concept, and it makes a lot more sense now why Niantic spun off from being Google-owned. I'd love to have been in that pitch meeting. "Hey, y'all, what if... we did Ingress... but with Pokemon? No, actual Pokemon. Let's get Mr. Nintendo on the phone."

I love AR games, mostly because of the possibilities I see in it. Invisimals and Eye of Judgment from Sony were some of my tippy top favs playing in that space. If Pokemon Go is half as good as I expect, I'll likely be on airplanes trying to catch 'em all.

Very cool, and very scary at the same time. Execution will be critical, but this could be a game changer to say the least.

I had to double check this wasn't a cruel joke! Having grown up on the Pokemon games (Pokemon Red FTW!) I can't wait to see if this lives up to those memories. I wonder if we will ever get that sort of game on a mobile device for iOS/Android this will hopefully be the starting on Pokemon/Nintendo bringing these types of games to that space.

I've played for some time now (downloaded from NZ AppStore), feel like I'm missing any sort of fight mechanic, so far I've been playing Paper Toss with Augmented Reality.

I love Pokemon GO. It;s very unique and has a great idea of real life challenge. Some disadvantages don't make it perfect, but I'm looking forward to see some updates with new gameplay elements!

Pros:

Engaging, cool, reminds of childhood

Cons:

Lacks more elements of gameplay (pvp, trade, more quests)

But are there still Gyms? Battles? What about all the good stuff from Pokemon for GBA?

This is an amazing game. Its not officially launched in India, but I could download it from Google and just caught my first Pokemon. Really amazing. Gaming next level!
