@danreich yeah we found a lot of our customers were hacking trivia into the existing Polly interface, so it made sense to serve those better
Love it! Congrats on the launch Polly team. Having worked in a remote company for years now, I'm closely familiar with the challenge of bringing teams together in this setting. Tools that help build relationships and trust by addressing the social gap are essential. Glad to see the fast adaptation to this now global reality.
Question for you - are the categories and questions customizable, or are they limited to the set that comes with the app?

Hey Product Hunt, we're excited to show our new social games product here today! From the beginning, Polly has been used to run fun polls amongst peers. Given that teams are spending more time on Slack than ever before, we decided to harness some of that fun and make games that really let you kick back with your team.
Today we’re launching three social gaming products:
🧠 Trivia: play in teams or every person for themselves across dozens of categories like WWE, 90s Movies, Music from the 80s, cats, and even geometry!
🏆 Employee Awards Game Show: Most likely to get photobombed by a pet during a call? Who’s got the best virtual background on Zoom? Best Emoji Game? Vote and play in an interactive game in Slack across a number of award categories.
🔥 Hot Takes: Debate whether Adam Sandler movies are actually good, or whether pineapple belongs on pizza. Have Polly inject a random Hot Take to spark a conversation.

This was much needed! I miss the boundary and personal space we got during normal routine. The gossips, games and distraction breaks. Though productivity has increased a lot due to remote work, I feel it is coming with dystopian and way too serious vibes. I'm integrating this feature now on my slack and teams channels. Thanks and keep up the good work!! 👌

Hi guys. We are a team of 150-ish and all working remotely. Curious to see how this social games can help re-connect with each other. We had our first virtual all hands a few ago and this was one the topics that came up, i.e. how to find fun ways to stay connection in this new world order. Looking forward to seeing the product in action.
WFH Pulse Surveys are a life saver. Even for a small team of < 50 devs it's hard to get a pulse on everyone and direct your attention where it's needed. I see this becoming an indispensable tool for keeping our teams motivated and energized.

You can do that with Polly (of course, all in Slack). Our pulse surveys are a single click in Slack, delivered via DM or in channel. We typically see a 30-100% jump in participation when teams switch from email based pulsing to Polly.
?makers Trying to measure and increase our team engagement and noticed that people are posting a lot more pics and socializing around that. Adding pics support on voting surveys and polls would be a cool feature, if not already

Polly had been our best friend I integrated in slack for a team of design trainees, Every morning, i scheduled it to check the team spirits, and learn if anyone needed a pep talk to uplift... It really helped us set the mood first thing in the morning before we would jump into design sprints. Learning that polly is now taking care of social isolation got me so excited that i ended up up-selling slack to my chief to integrate it for the entire division of 100 people. I been meaning to send a pitch deck and I think polly definitely gonna help
