Ponder — Invite-only text threads that anyone can read & subscribe to

Ponder is a social media app for invite-only text threads that anyone can read and subscribe to — it's like Clubhouse for texting.
• create a thread → invite others → talk
• follow others → subscribe to their threads → read and follow along

Hey all Ponder is my attempt to make the social media space a little bit healthier. I really like podcasts but rarely see two-way conversations like that over text. On Ponder users must be invited into a thread before they can write messages. Inviting a user and accepting an invitation indicates a high level of trust between the two people — something that seems to be lacking in apps where anyone can talk. I'm hoping that the design will lead to more fruitful conversations. Examples: • Product Hunt could invite a new maker each week to interview them • A funny group of people could just talk about random entertaining stuff • Reuters could have a thread with an overseas war correspondent • You could have a thread by yourself to talk about whatever you choose — kind of like micro-blogging Features: • create a thread and optionally invite up to 10 other users • users must be invited into a thread in order to write messages • the creator owns the thread and can add/remove users • anyone can read and subscribe to any thread • follow users so that you're notified when they start or join a thread • messages and threads are chronological, just like regular text messaging • you only see content that you subscribe to Platforms: • iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/po... • Android: probably in the next month or two • Web: TBD Shoutout to @begroe and @davidfankhauser for remove.bg. I used it a bunch and it worked flawlessly. • https://www.producthunt.com/post... Feedback: • Could you see yourself using this sometime down the road if there's enough content? • Do you dislike anything about the general design? Thanks for reading! All feedback is welcome and much appreciated.
