Discovery has always been an issue when it comes to figuring out what to watch. I've been using Popcorn the past couple weeks and definitely seeing the value! Would love to see the roadmap for what's next.
This is kind of like the HYPER (which has recently gone back to its old format) of movies - everyone has the problem of taking too long to decide what movie to watch, EVERYONE. I like the idea of having limited choices, as long as they learn to be more relevant to what I like and are good quality.
I like the look of this as a potential solution
There are a few other alternatives in this space though.
Ha! I installed this app this morning when App store started suggesting to check out the new app. I thought App store is gone crazy for suggesting Popcorn Time..lol (The name confused it), until I installed and saw it's just Popcorn. It's a good app!
Ran into this problem just last night 😔. Really excited to give this app a shot. After a quick download and browse, I was thinking it would be great if I could choose *how* I intend to watch the movie first (checkboxes for services I subscribe to - like Netflix)... then have the rest of the interface update based on that so I'm only presented movies that I can actually watch / have access to.
Same here! Will give a shot on this app. And totally agree with @arrev I believe that having a filter by services is a must for this app, it will make so much easier
@arrev Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are next on the list in terms of functionality.
Some complexities regarding Netflix's lack of public API and regional differences in movie selection though.
