Great illustrations start with Pose! Design a character exactly the way you want it and follow the guidelines to bring it to life with any drawing app.
@galklieger Good question!โจ ๐
1. I wanted Pose to be a light-weight tool that can be accessed from any device.โจ
2. Web apps are easier to maintain and to update with new features regularly.
โจ3. Iโm a web developer so I knew I could do my best in an environment I have experience with.
@galklieger considering this is a paid resource/tool, I'd appreciate having the option to use it completely offline. Paying for something and then not having access to it when you need it sucks... Or is Pose a PWA, meaning it can be used offline? ๐ค
Hey PH!โจโจIโm surprised and excited to have Pose featured today, thank you @yellingbytes! ๐ฑโจโจIโm an illustrator and even though I draw for years, Iโve always struggled with character illustration. So I wanted to create a simple tool that would help people like me with illustrating 2D characters. ๐บ
I created Pose so everyone can easily design a character exactly the way they want it. Then they can take the guidelines into any drawing app and paint them to bring their character to life. Pose is a light web app that works in your browser, you can access it from your computer/tablet, and I believe it would make your life easier when it comes to character illustration.โจโจ
Iโll do my best to answer any questions you might have, looking forward to seeing the illustrations you make! Post it on social media and tag me (@thegalshir) and #madewithpose. โ๏ธโจ

Thanks @gad_bornstein! The idea actually came from the design world. If UX designers create wireframes at first, why illustrators don't start with guiding wireframes as well? ๐
Although sketching is a common step in the process, it's usually harder, more challenging, and takes a longer time than the drawing process itself. So I started brainstorming a way to make that step easier so more people could start to illustrate simple characters. I tested and prototyped different ideas until I realized that building an interactive wire-puppet could be the right solution.
Awesome! Really like it and good luck with it! :) .. for my taste itโs too expensive. I understand that you are an independent artist, but I can get affinity designer plus photo (iPad) for that price
This looks incredible! I love the website and the explainer videos too, they do a great job of showcasing the product, very easy to immediately see the use.
Good for newbie beginners to the Internet (not just drawing) who literally donโt know that better products exists for free, with the option to buy even more figures for cheap. โPoseโ features generic 2D childโs play posing for $20-30, and if you try to make a more unique pose itโs actually hard to translate the shoulders turning. Get MagicPoser from app stores for free, does exactly what I was hoping Pose actually did and wish their videos more clearly showed their app being used. MagicPoser, a free app, has more sense to their models, more customization of movement, accurate figures and proportions, realism and anime, 3D shading for reference, and more. FOR. FREE. Thank me later. The only difference? Pose is an Instagram fad for instagrammers to get 1 minute of fame by tagging #madewithpose.
This looks great, however I would have preferred it to be a downloadable app so that I don't have to worry about making sure you'll be still around when I need to use it
This is exactly what i've been looking for a long time :) I'm not a full time illustrator so my Human anatomy isn't soo good, Always having issue with character poses but now Pose gonna help me a lot, Thank you so much fir this Great Product Gal Shir :)
