I made Prepared.ly after nearly getting hit by a car last year. As I walked (limped) off, I realised that if I had died, my family wouldn't have known what medications my dog is on, his vet, or how to administer them. As I dwelled on this alongside the pain in my hip, the consequences ballooned in my head. My family wouldn't have a clue how to access my email and explain to clients what has happened, how to stop my billing system auto-debiting these clients, how to cancel my phone bill, or know not to cancel it too soon since I use it for TFA on many accounts, how many subscriptions I have, how to access and remove my social media accounts, the code to unlock my phone, code to unlock my computer, my bank accounts and share platforms - not to mention how much they meant to me...i genuinely felt panicked. I looked into wills but there were just too many flaws - the upfront cost, the need + cost associated with updating passwords every time they changed, the fact that a will becomes public domain when you pass away or that people often have a copy before you die, the fact that I couldn't give people individual, discriminate messages or files... so 12 months later here we are :) My main goal for this app is to make people feel secure, organised, and provide them peace of mind! I would love people to give it a crack and let me know their thoughts - things they like, things they don't and anything hold you back from using it!
