I'm Serge Shagal, one of the minds behind Presence. In our hyper-connected world, we've lost touch with real, personal interactions. Presence is here to change that.
How it started:
My journey as an immigrant revealed a harsh reality: Although I had a vast online network, there were no people I could meet in real life like I had at home. I had yet to learn how to connect in person with members of my global online communities. At the same time, I often noticed friends in LinkedIn and WhatsApp groups asking, "Is anyone at WebSummit today?", "I have a long layover in Istanbul. Anyone up for coffee in Kadikoy?", "Who wants to go to The Weeknd concert together tomorrow?" It got me thinking - is there a better way to connect?
And that is where the idea for Presence was born.

I've been using Precense for a while. It helped me to find communities everywhere I go. Also! It helped me to reconnect with my high school classmate – I stumbled upon her in the app when I was in Berlin!
