Great job on creating an all-in-one newsletter management system through Notion! Looking forward to boosting my newsletter growth and booking more sponsors. Congrats on the launch!
@thomas_mckinlay1 thanks for your support. It's as detailed as Product Hunt Launch Checklist. Made it as comprehensive as I can to make so it is true to its tagline: All-in-one Notion dashboard for your newsletter operations.
Congratulations on launching Newsletter Kit! π
This Notion dashboard sounds like a powerful tool! How did you come up with the idea, and what features are you planning to add in the future?
@heyumarkhan it came out of my frustration while managing my newsletter, Marketer Crew.
I think it's pretty much detailed from curating or writing to growing it, managing sponsors and cross-promotions, and even it's useful for SaaS to send and manage their newsletter in one place.
@ubercool you made me laugh today. I replied to her: "Based on your rip-off definition, Monday is a ripoff of Asana. Clickup is a rip-off of Monday. Smart Task is a rip-off of Clickup. And this continues." Even Google is a ripoff of previous search engines.
Then I asked her to show me these sections in NOS:
- Distribution checklist
- Cross-promotions
- Sponsor Tracker
- Newsletter Directories
- Newsletter sending checklists
- Recurring Tasks
- Landing page guide
- Growth guide
- Monetization guide
- Promotion workflow for every newsletter
- New newsletter issue template with special focus to repurpose etc.
- Blog & product announcements section for SaaS
Besides that, writing & saving links is a fundamental thing which will be a part of every newsletter system.
@janelsgm please don't label it a copy. My product is totally different. Even a blind can see the difference. And yes, there are many Newsletter management templates.
You can see Newsletter Kit preview here: https://phlaunchchecklist.com/ne...
@janelsgm@falak_sher I wanted to give this high marks but I had to take my upvote back after the screenshot that Janel provided which clearly shows you, Falak, acknowledging and admiring her product Newsletter OS. It is clear that your product is highly *inspired* by hers (even if it is visually different).
We all get ideas and inspiration from other places but it's not cool for you to act like she's overreacting or launching bogus claims when she says you copied her product. There's nothing wrong with admitting you were inspired by her product and chose to iterate on it with your own.
@notionbae π― agreed!! I upvoted the product but after reading this comment 'Even a blind can see the difference', I have to take it back but it's not cool to be rude to @janelsgm because she only mentioned about how it's very similar to Newsletter OS.
Congratulations on the successful launch of Newsletter Kit! It's impressive to see your all-in-one solution for newsletter operations. To enhance your product further, consider integrating analytics to track subscriber engagement, A/B testing for newsletter content, and a feature to collaborate with co-writers. Additionally, connecting your app on Product Hunt would be a great way to gain exposure and valuable feedback from the community. Best of luck! Let's connect on Product Hunt to exchange insights and support each other's ventures.
