I've used Proto.io for years. When I owned an agency we use it to pitch clients and landed our biggest ever - Budweiser. When I was running a startup factory we demanded its use on every project.
And now, with Pikazo, we built our entire product in Proto.io before we do any code.
The key thing about Proto.io is you're not just prototyping to share with others, you're prototyping to see it yourself! And to think it through yourself! I'm so excited to dive in to V6 and learn how it can do that for us even more.
You should consider having a free tier with limited functionality for struggling artists and developers. Take cue from invision app. It allows "one user one product" free tier with no collaboration feature. This could be a great way to gradually convert free tier users into paid users. Thanks
@alexispiperides as CEO would you ever consider increasing some functionality for free tier accounts?? @invisionapp restricts free tier to one project only without the ability to collaborate with team.
This helps students and struggling artists to appreciate @protoio and eventually will become paid users or free evangelists for the product.
Just my two cents!
I've been using this product for about 3 years now. I've tried many different prototyping software / applications and nothing else comes anywhere close to proto.io... so many rich features, backed up by a great support team too.
While we all have our favourite products and tools, this is definitely in my top 3.
Congrats @alexispiperides - great work.
I'm a designer for over 15 years now I think. That means I start between 1 to 8 projects a day. In my opinion SaaS models based on "Active Projects" don't go along with design. It just doesn't feel right and makes me free to work with the software how i want and how I'm used to. I guess there is more people who think that way. What's your opinion?
@stefanmimikry Hi Stefan. We will take your suggestion into consideration. Even though you have the flexibility to archive/unarchive any number of projects at will, it may be time consuming when you have several open projects. Thanks!
@alexispiperides@kevinjay89 Yeah, I LOVE the tool, but the video is a bit self-serving. I'd prefer to see more product examples and less some guy standing in the way.
Great product! Used it on couple of projects including the latest one , Streamli mobile app. Would love to pay a bit less per month but it is reasonable.
