Hi Product Hunt π
A year ago, I was looking for a service with reliable uptime and status page options to monitor our websites and customize our status pages with our brand graphics and colors. I was looking for a minimum of 1-minute uptime checking, SMS/calls alerts, advanced status page customizations, and an affordable price. There was nothing out there!... π€¦ββοΈ
So I started researching one of our own. In a few weeks, I had a plan of action. And with the help of my talented team at Designmodo, we began creating Pulsetic.

Thanks to everyone who made this happen! π
Salut!
@andrianv Generous free plan π I have been looking for a simple, free service for uptime monitoring since I don't trust Shopify's status pages. (They consistently claim everything is perfectly fine, even when we can't access our store)
So now I have signed up for the free plan to test. Congrats on the launch π
A free plan! :) Thanks for making this. Most of the uptime monitors we have tried aren't reliable or are too expensive. Have signed up for Pulsetic! Just a wish: will it be possible to add API monitoring as well?
@yassersultan Thanks! The current functionality allows you to monitor an API.
Flickr example:
- Add the monitor: https://www.flickr.com/services/...
- Go to Advanced Settings on this monitor.
Request Settings
- HTTP Method: POST or GET
- Request Header:
- - method flickr.photos.getRecent
- - api_key 327dbc2d2fbf49e534617ba694bf0a9f
- Update
Response Settings
- Response Text: rsp sta
- Update
On the right press Run Check & See Result.
Functionality
- A Post/Get request is being made to flickr.com with the following informations attached:
- - method = flickr.photos.getRecent
- - api_key = 327dbc2d2fbf49e534617ba694bf0a9f
- Based on the request, the site is returning a XML format response.
- We are verifying whether the reponse constains the string "rsp sta" or not.
- If it exists, the status "200 OK" will be shown.
I think we should make a detailed tutorial π€£
Brilliant! Great and so useful idea! Thank you for implementing it and big congratulations on the launch! ^_^ It seems to be a great help considering Pulsetic's features, would like to try it out! ^_^ Can you tell me please, what's the number of limits on teammates for the free plan? :))
@maria_brm Thanks!
Unfortunately, the free plan does not provide Team functionality. Additional information may be found here: https://pulsetic.com/pricing/
@maria_alexandrova1 Maria, hi there! Let us know if you have any suggestions about how to make our service better. Please get in touch with us if you have any ideas, or leave a comment here!
Congrats on the launch! Very nice to see a free pricing plan. I'll definitely put this on my list.
One thing I'm curious about @andrianv, how does the check work? Does a check result in a view tracked by my page analytics?
@alexander_eble Thanks!
