I've been a Pzizz user for probably at least a decade — when I first discovered it when I was running Citizen Space (one of the original coworking spaces in San Francisco). The new management saved this app from obsolescence and delivered a streamlined, beautiful interface — that is only bested by the quality of the binaural soundtrack that accompanies it. I swear by Pzizz to fall asleep almost everyday, and use it religiously when I take long plane flights. Do yourself a favor a try this out — and introduce it to your family and friends over the holidays! 🦃 Highly recommended.

Have been using Pzizz for years. It's my go-to app for when I need to take a quick power nap. Really helps me to manage my energy and unwind efficiently.

@hexsprite Thanks for being a long time user Jordan!

An unsurprisingly amazing product for many, especially as CEO Rockwell has always cared deeply and been so highly focused on solving poor sleep. Big fan.

@rockwellshah I haven't come across one that works for me. I'll try yours for some nights. Thanks again 😉

Thanks @chrismessina! Hey everybody! We're on a mission to bring great sleep to the world. Poor sleep has been declared a public health epidemic by the CDC. Over 70MM people in the US (and 2 billion people globally) suffer from insomnia. The vast majority of cases of people suffering from poor sleep are caused by a disease called, “too much thinking;” people lie awake at night unable to shut off their brains. So the key is if you can calm the mind, you can induce sleep. That’s what Pzizz does. Our patented system intelligently combines music, voiceover, and sound effects that are optimized for each part of your sleep cycle, to quickly quiet your mind, put you to sleep, keep you asleep, and wake you up feeling refreshed. All you have to do is listen to Pzizz. We have sleep researchers that work closely with our audio engineers to create beautiful dreamscapes that are backed by academic psycho-acoustics, and we pair these musical dreamscapes with voice scripts based on clinical sleep hypnosis, and then infuse them with personalization driven through our learning algorithms so you have a different audio sequence each night (which is important to keep Pzizz effective over time). It’s wild, and incredibly effective. Recently we launched big new updates to our iOS and Android apps which include our "Focus Module," music specially designed to help you get in the zone and get work done. I'll be here all day to answer questions, so fire away!

I remember using Pzizz back when it was a mac app, and have stuck with it as it made its way to iOS. Rockwell is so passionate and has kept Pzizz just as awesome as it’s always been. Recommended!

@runsammrun Thank you for the kind words Sam! We'll keep improving! :)

Alternative tagline: "Chloroform as a service" ...I'm sorry. I'll see myself out.

@rrhoover When we told The Queen what we do she asked, "Yes, but, does it wake people up?!"

This app has been a godsend, thank you!

Pros:

If you have sleep trouble, this is for you!

Cons:

Not too useful if you already sleep like a baby, maybe? - is that really you?

Arun
I genuine-read this as Pizza. 👀
Rob Hardy
@arunsathiya I mean, pizza's also pretty good at putting me to sleep ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@arunsathiya Auto-correct is our #1 enemy at Pzizz :P

The latest app is amazing - beautiful and functional.

Pros:

It helps me calm down and fall asleep fast.

Cons:

Lower monthly subscription. I'm not a fan of subscribing to an app. I know apps like Headspace use subscription model but I can't do it.

Manideep Rana

I've looked for similar apps but here is nothing close to this out there. The app gets better with new features being added on an ongoing basis.

Pros:

Was skeptical at first but this really does put me to sleep.

Cons:

None that i can really think of.

Jason Glantz

Love that it’s data driven and gets smarter over time - truly the smartest natural solution to getting better sleep I’ve come across so far

Pros:

Seeing very consistent sleep patterns since i began using this app

Cons:

None so far

I'm trying this out now, will give my feedback in the morning:)
Rockwell Shah
@shadihalloun Look forward to it!

@rockwellshah I don't know if it's just me. Usually I don't have any troubles falling asleep. BUT, whenever I use a sleep enhancer apps (or even pills), for example "Sleep cycle alarm clock", or now Pzizz, I have a terrible night. It's maybe because I'm very conscious that I'm supposed to sleep more easily or something, then I just don't. It was very hard for me to fall asleep last night. I had weird dreams, and I woke up in the middle of the night. Is this common? Or am I just weird? xD P.S. I'm sure this is an exception. The sounds are truly relaxing and the speech is very soothing. Great job ;)
Rockwell Shah
@shadihalloun There's a couple of things that could be happening. There are definitely some people that have strong sensitivity to sound in a way that can be disruptive to sleep. Maybe you're better off in complete silence :) Thanks for giving it a shot! Did you get a chance to try the focus module too?
Mal Herring

Have been using Pzizz for 10+ years, never fails to get me to sleep. Now being able to use it for focus time makes it a 10/10 for me.

Pros:

Simply amazing...

Cons:

None.

Linda Duffy

I’ve used this product even before it was an app. I’ve used this since 2005 to easily get to sleep and stay asleep. I use this EVERY night when I go to bed. Amazing product.

Pros:

I get to sleep easily and stay asleep. I also use it whenever I need a midday nap but don’t have time. Easy to use and effective.

Cons:

I don’t know if anything else on the market that comes close to this.

Julia Bloch

I've tried quite a few methods to help me sleep. While it may not be infallible it's certainly proven it can help me.

Pros:

The only app around that can help me sleep with a beautiful UI and just enough customization as to not make it plain or overwhelming.

Cons:

None, really, maybe that it takes too much space on the internal memory. But that's it

Ben May

Have been using for probably 5-6 years now. Such a great tool. Use it for napping 2-4 times a week and sleep occasionally. Use it on planes when needing to sleep.

Have recommend to many friends, some with sleep issues and they have all said it was great and helped them significantly too.

Pros:

Can sleep when I have an active mind. Have started taking efficient and restful naps during day, getting healthier and less chemical energy.

Cons:

Nothing so far.

Pzizz is a fantastic app! I’m quite sure that there’s magic behind it :)
Rockwell Shah
@vkedyk That reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

Breathing works for me. Breathe in through your nose for 6 seconds, and hold for 2 seconds. Breathe out for 6 seconds, hold for 2 seconds. Repeat for 5 minutes or so. It relaxes the body massively and helps me to switch off and fall asleep.
Rockwell Shah
@theashtube That can definitely be effective. There's a few variations on it as well. The most common I've found is 4-7-8 (breath in for four, hold for 7, breath out for 8).
Product Pearson
@rockwellshah Thanks, I'll try that. Holding my breath for 7 seconds though?! #ChallengeAccepted
Rockwell Shah
@theashtube Wait till you try the Wim Hoff method... ;)
