Browser with automated ad blocking :o wow! Must gonna try. Congratulations on the launch ;) You're gonna kill many businesses around ads. Twitter be the first lol

what's your business modell? Privacy conscious people like me will always hesitate to trust a new tool, especially if it's closed source and free.
Cherysun
@kristof_gordon_der No ads and no data sharing, that’s our philosophy. At the moment we think everyone needs a product with this philosophy, so we made it. In the short term we think we need to spend more energy concentrating on perfecting the browser, after all it’s still a complex project for us. In the long term we do need to keep our ideals alive, and we have plans to offer advanced paid features and so on, both to give our users more services that they might need, and to give us a commercial return. Also, open source is in our consideration.

Congratulations on launching Quetta Browser! Love the emphasis on privacy in a world where that's increasingly rare. The AI-based ad blocker sounds like a game-changer. Just wondering, have you considered integrating any form of tracker visualization to see in real-time what's being blocked? Keep up the great work!
Cherysun
@daxeelsoni We’ll soon provide an on-device visualization of statistics to indicate blocked ads and trackers on webpages. It has a very high position on our todo list.

🤩 AI based adblocker. That's what I need! Will you offer that as an iOS Adblock extension?
Cherysun
@sentry_co Quetta for iOS is coming in the spring of 2024.

Congrats. Is the source code available?

Hey! Congratulations on the launch. 1. How is your product different from already existing privacy oriented browser? 2. What is this based on, chromium? If yes how do you plan to work with manifest V3? 3. what is your profit model?
Neik
🚨ATTENTION!! Do not install this browser. There are big Red flags. You can't see their privacy policy and terms of use. A company targeting privacy should have at least decent privacy policy and this browser has none. Further this company is registered in UK but not owned by a British. Their Reddit account is suspended and other social site doesn't give any confidence.
Cherysun
@slashtab I understand your concerns and I do recognize the importance you place on privacy. Indeed, our product is still in the final testing stages, so we are only pre-releasing it here, which means that our official website is still only in an early preview state and some information has not yet been made public. We will provide a full version of the terms and privacy policy before the final release of the app. Everything you concern is also our concern, so please give us some more patience to improve the information.

Does it has any feature to turn this into strict kids friendly mode? A parenting app connected with this browser would be very nice. Congratulations
Cherysun
@oliver_price1 It’s really on our to-do list. I think maybe we can put it on the agenda sooner rather than later.

Just wondering, why the privacy could be so important when the other websites would still be able to fetch our data? Can the browsing including account making be super anonymous? Congratulations on the launch.

What an amazing accomplishment! @cherysun, I am beyond impressed by the incredible work you have done. With it setting your privacy as its priority, it looks like a game-changer and I can't wait to try it out!

Competition is always good. Congratulations on the launch. I'll be happy to see your browser among the selections and competing with Google & Edge, Bing & Fox!

Congratulations on the launch of Quetta, the privacy-first browser! In today's digital age, where online privacy is a paramount concern for many, your browser's emphasis on safeguarding user privacy is not only timely but also essential.

Looks interesting. Wondering how better/different the value proposition is compared to Vivaldi?
Cherysun
@guinnsquirrel Quetta’s all about keeping things simple and private. Unlike Vivaldi, which is great for tech buffs who love customizing, Quetta gives you a clean, easy browsing experience with top-notch privacy and no ad hassles.

How are you ensuring the privacy? Is it based on chromium? Congratulations on the launch!
Cherysun
@lily_young In short, you can see your network requests with pro tools, common ad sources and tracker requests disappear. Also, we don’t send any of your personal data to our servers, which will also show up on the network requests. Is it based on Chromium? Yes. While we don’t agree with Chrome’s disregard for privacy, we must recognize that Chromium and Blink are technically powerful. So we chose to build our browser based on Chromium and put our privacy concerns and new design into it.

I think privacy is very important. More and more manufacturers are using privacy to make profits. I hope you can maintain your original intention. In addition, I also wrote a recommended article for your website, I hope it can help you: https://www.approam.com/introduc...
