Being based in Wales I struggle with the tech scene... seems I work for a company on the front of the tech startup curve but yet I live in an area and surrounded by a lot of people who are way behind it.
Little gems like Raspberry Pi being made in Wales puts a little shimmer of hope in me...
I recently worked with the Pi for the first time... and while I know I'm late to the party, these are fantastic! So much cool little stuff to do at such a low price 😎
Do anyone know if someone is selling it as a bundle with all the necessary things to make it "ready to run" ? I.E. Adapters of sorts to fit your usual gear? I want to know how much that'll run for. Thanks!
@moravtchik The Pi Hut sell an essentials kit : http://thepihut.com/products/ras... The main issue with the zero for a lot of issues is the lack of wifi. You can add it of course but with only 1 USB port you're soon messing around with usb hubs. Also check out the CHIP (the $9 computer), that has wifi on board. Availability is also an issue there though.
This is awesome! I wrote about building your own Chromecast / AppleTV with RPi 2 (http://jes.al/2015/09/building-a...). Would be interesting to see how well something like that would work with a $5 version.
This little investment can literally turn anything into SMART. It's a gem for DIY people. Time to forget about things like Chromecast and similar stuff.
I love the idea of this and I'll surely get one but I find the $5 advertised price a bit disingenuous. In Australia at any of the resellers you're looking at $20-30 for it.
Hey Guys,
Great product for Educational and all my DIY purposes. Good to see so many iterations of Raspberry Pi. Really gives a wide variety to pick from.
