We launched Raycast a year ago on Product Hunt. Since then we shipped a ton of features to save you time on everyday tasks: Quicklinks let you seamlessly navigate the web and your computer. Snippets speed up your writing by inserting frequently used text. Clipboard History makes copied content searchable. Window management keeps your desktop tidy. The list goes on and on. These features made Raycast an indispensable tool for thousands of developers and designers. Today, we're thrilled to release our platform for productivity tools and making Raycast extendable. Our API lets developers build extensions with React and TypeScript in no time. They can tap into the massive npm ecosystem to simplify their daily workflows. We wanted to create an end-to-end experience. With our Store, everybody can discover and share their extensions. Our community jumped on the platform during the beta phase of the platform and built more than 100 extensions already, including Figma file search, home automation and GitLab integration. We can't wait to see what you're gonna build with our API. Also, I'm super happy to answer any questions!

Congrats on launch! I've yet to check out the extensions, but I have switched from Alfred to Raycast.

Raycast is one of my favorite macOS apps now, been using it since early days and love it, really helpful for productivity. Thomas and Raycast team is doing superb job!

Definitely I don't remember how I saw Raycast for the first time on Twitter, but I do remember when I started to talk to @thomaspaulmann on Twitter and I got my invitation to test Raycast. Back then, not even Script Commands was released (that version if I can recall was 0.29), then I joined the Slack together with a really small amount of people. This product is something I guess I could say that I'm following since the very beginning and I am very proud of the whole team for such achievement. For those folks, the sky is not the limit and really glad there's no limit for them. They deserve everything they have, because they fought hard for it. Thank you @thomaspaulmann, @petr_nikolaev and also the rest of the team for such amazing work. Count on me folks, I will be there with and for you!

How does it compare to Alfred + Powerpack?

Congrats on building such an awesome product folks! It's hard to imagine using my Mac without launching Raycast 🤘🏻

For over a year now, Raycast has been my North Star in computing. This tool has changed the way I interface with a computer. Welcome to your personal search engine, highly curated to your workflow. ⌘+Space = ∞ possibilities. More so with the addition of the new API & Store interface. The community’s already had phenomenal support for Raycast, & we’re just getting started. The only thing I wish there was, a counter of some sort to see how many Raycast interactions (snippets, searches, launches, etc.) I’ve performed. Raycast is a once-in-a-lifetime piece of software. Get it, you won’t regret it!

This product is amazing honestly. From seeing your calendar writing two letters, to see your open PR with 3 letters, plus all the customization. This tool is unstoppable imo

I've been using it for a few months, and this is like the best app ever!

Using this product over a year. Feels good! Not a power user so it's hard for me to fully evaluate all the benefits, but for simple everyday tasks Raycast is very nice tool to have!

Still lacking in the ability to chain commands together, but otherwise Raycast is evolving pretty nicely and with this trend will become the best app for this purpose. In many ways already is, but still room for improvement though.

Raycast is truly an amazing product. It's one of those apps that keeps impressing with an absurd attention to detail. It easily replaced my spotlight. Raycast and Linear are the two apps that, in my opinion, keep pushing the boundaries of what is a flawless execution for productivity products.

Raycast has been my `⌘ + Space` hero since launch. I've been playing around with their new store + extensions this morning and it is :chefs_kiss:. Can't wait to see the ecosystem develop.

From the moment I first installed Raycast it became indispensable. After many years of enthusiastic powerpacked Alfred use, I left it behind without more than a moment's sadness for the parting of old friends. I'm far too delighted by meeting the multitool love of my life in Raycast. Within all my flowery expressions of undying love, I'll say this: it does everything I need it to and far more. This is one of my top 5 favourite apps ever on macos (and might be top 2 if I really had to choose). Thank you, team and Raycast, I love ya

Raycast is one of those apps that will be among the first, if not the first, app to be installed on any new Mac I get from here on out. It's such an integral part of my workflow now. Indispensable!
