💡 Bright idea
Great problem to attempt solving. Personally this is a huge pain point for me at the moment. Right now my workflow is like this: Find long read on WSJ, NYT, FT, Economist etc. Copy text. Ask chatgpt4 to give me the main points. I think the ideal solution would maybe a be like google reader. With summary and even TTS on top. So I can listen to all the links I collected through out the day but didn't have time to read. The long read -> short read problem is really cool. I have not seen anyone solve it just right yet so looking forward to watch how you refine the product position as you move forward.

It is indeed an interesting problem to solve with many challenges. I truly believe that our Chrome Extension could be beneficial to you since you could just summarize the articles in one click! Our portal and history saving feature could also be beneficial in your case. The TTS feature has been in development for a while now, it is definitely one of the most requested features to add!

@grigory_sl Can I use my own OpenAI key to get started before I commit? 🙏 I have so much free openai credit that my startup incubator gave me to spend 😂 (and as for the TTS. OpenAI has this built into their API, its rediculously gd, should be like 1 line of code to add, altho prob expensive, but id gladly pay for that as its free 😏)

Thank you @brijs for your support! I’m glad you find ReadPartner useful! The most challenging part is paying attention to every aspect of the project from the beginning! Development, customer satisfaction, marketing, design, outsourcing… it all adds up and you suddenly have no time for anything! From the development side I can say that getting ReadPartner to deliver consistent results with our rigorous testing was very difficult! We are still not fully there!

Congrats!!! the ReadPartner AI looks super slick! Gotta love the one-click summarization for articles, docs, and even YouTube vids - that's gonna save me a ton of time sifting through content. And the automated news digest feature is clutch, can't wait to set that up!!

How does ReadPartner handle technical or specialized content?
Is there a way for users to fine-tune the topics or sources to get more personalized results?

Technical/Specialized content is actually what we are working hard on to improve, we had to scrap several settings and features in order to get more consistent results out of that sort of content. So far, we are doing good on long and short form general content with the current customization settings, be it long articles or documents in various languages or 2 hour long podcasts. And we are trying our best to allow more even more specialized results in the updates to come, currently the summary settings "smarter/long/bullet-points" will allow for most technical detail in the output.
Regarding the News Digest feature, users can customize the language, topic/s, source location and frequency for their digests, we currently do not allow the users to specify the sources they desire but that is a work in progress!
