Recently, I found myself diving deep into web blogs and thought, "There's got to be a better way to consume all this content." especially, while eating :) That's when I started searching for a Chrome extension that could read the articles to me. But, oh boy, the options I found? Either super robotic voices or way too expensive for a not so bad voice. So, I decided to make one. It was a bit rough around the edges at first – I mean, it was just me using it for a month or so. But after sharing it with a friend and getting some encouraging feedback, I spent a few more months polishing it up and now it's live on the Chrome Web Store If you're also looking for a text-to-speech option that's more on the natural, AI-generated side and won't cost you an arm and a leg, I'd love for you to try mine out. Any feedback or bug reports would be super appreciated!

The highlight-text-to-voice feature works great!
Anton
@timmyg Thank you very much! i'm trying to adapt just play button to most of blogs, but all of them have different structure and need individual conditions. And highlight>read is a solution for cases that I'm still about to cover. Google docs and Kindle is another avenues I'm looking forward to bring into picture.

Congratulations on creating the Chrome extension! It's great to see how you identified a need for a better text-to-speech option and took the initiative to build a solution. Natural and AI-generated voices can significantly enhance the user experience, especially when consuming articles or blog content. Great job, @antfenvox!

Nice! It would be more interesting if some game characters were added. I like it. Congrats!

@rick_fan hmm, interesting idea. I agree, for kids stories narration, cartoonish voices will be a better fit. thank you!
