Hi there! My name is Paul and I'm excited to share with you about my passion project called Recall. I am working on Recall full-time and putting all my efforts into creating something that will change the way we consume information. Recall is a personal encyclopedia that allows you to capture and organize all of the interesting information you come across every day. Whether it's an interesting article or a fascinating podcast episode, Recall makes it easy to store and access it later. I believe that Recall has the potential to transform the way we learn and discover new things, and I'm passionate about bringing this vision to life. It's so hard to stay on top of new developments in tech. My bandwidth to read all the articles and listen to podcasts and watch videos is low, and I'm excited to try this out. Are you also thinking of providing a recommendations feed? And also, a summary of the podcasts or posts of a channel? That'll help me a lot to prioritize what I put time into and where.

@krishadi yeah we definitely want to add a personalised recommendations feed in the future. I haven't thought about doing a summary for an entire channel, its something to think about but would probably use a lot of language model tokens.

Hi! Good luck on the launch! Can Recall help me in learning new English words? It was first idea about using your product that came into my head. I'm not sure maybe there are already exist extensions for words drilling...

@dzianis_yatsenka Thanks. Its probably not the best tool for that. You could add definitions to news things/words that you are learning. But its not really the focus for the app.

Wow! I'll try to use it Recall to analyse competitors websites! Thanks!

I feel like this is a problems that's been crying out for a solution for years! Am I the only one who's bookmark bar is an embarrassment? Saved so much stuff, but never got around to consuming it because it's so poorly organised! Good work solving this problem folks! 👏 👏

H! Super cool app. Are you planning to make an MS Edge version? Also, do you have plans to use the app on EdX \ Corsera \ Udemy platforms?
Paul Richards

@nikolay_kurbatov hey, yeah edge is chromium based so it will be easy to create a build for it. We just need to add it to the edge store. I will do this for Firefox and Edge in the coming week.
Nikolay Kurbatov
@paul_richards1 Awesome! I think it would be a killer feature to apply the app's functionality for EdTech platforms, as I mentioned: EdX, Coursera, and Udemy. Although, their API could be constructed in a different fashion in contrast with YouTube.

@paul_richards1 I have been trying to organize my bookmarks, links in folders, pasted articles in word documents, having 15 notebooks in Evernote. At one point after 15 years, I gave up archiving, now the problem is everything I read/listen/watch and I like stays in that platform. Is Recall Browser Extension really what I am looking for? :))

Congratulations for the launch 🎆 I do needed this, many times I want to look back at something but don't want to go through it fully. Can we customise the response in any way ?
Paul Richards

@satyanarayan_prashar thanks for the comment. At the moment it is not possible to customise the response but we plan to add an option where you can set how much detail you want in the summary.

Looks really nice @paul_richards1 . One tip might be to offer a global 'uncheck' box for the bookmark importing, so you don't have to uncheck them all manually if you have lots. That way I can select a few starter bookmarks quickly and easily. But overall, really like the idea and the implementation looks excellent.

IMO this is much better than the core product. It's a lot easier for me to just use the extension right there vs going to Recall itself.
