I've been using Reclaim to make sure I have time to eat lunch and exercise every day for the past year and a half. It's a small thing, but in my role, if I don't proactively protect that daily ritual, it will get eaten up by meetings almost every time. Reclaim has legitimately helped me stay healthier and happier. The ONE feature I was craving more than anything else was the ability to delegate all of my recurring team meetings to Reclaim. When I woke up to the announcement email this morning, it made my day. Thank you very much, team! Keep rockin'!

@tylermdavis we'd be lost without LaunchNotes! Thanks for building an awesome, simple way for us to keep our customers in the loop.
@Bernardamus
What is the added value compared to Calendly, ChillyPiper or other established Calendar Apps?
Kristi Anderson
@bernardamus great question! We are actually a complimentary tool to these schedulers. Where Calendly automatically generates available times for a one-time meeting, Smart 1:1s automatically schedule your regular/recurring 1:1 meetings for you, analyzing both attendees calendars at every occurrence to find the best time. And, if anything comes up like a conflicting meeting, PTO, overlapping deep work session, etc., the Smart 1:1 will automatically reschedule to another mutually available time across both calendars. Smart 1:1s also use smart time blocking which keeps the calendar event settings marked as "free" until it starts to run out of available time slots to reschedule, where it then flips to "busy" to lock in this time. This is where Reclaim Smart 1:1s really compliment Calendly, as you're able to maximize the amount of available openings for new appointments, while still defending your important 1:1 meetings 😎

@bernardamus +1 to what @kristimke said -- recurring meetings simply aren't possible with external schedulers, and we see them as highly complimentary products today. The other thing I'll add is that _internal_ meetings, which most 1:1s tend to be, don't tend to get scheduled via Calendly. Smart 1:1s are great for external one-on-one meetings, but they're really targeted around the internal use case :)

Awesome feature. Reclaim has defended my time against a constant barrage of invites. Giving my team the option to move 1:1s or just making sure that a company-wide event moves instead of cancels a 1:1 ensures these critical meetings happen. Yay for removing administrative tasks I hate FTW.

@abnerg 😊 😊 😊 thanks!

Hey again folks! We're super excited to announce Smart 1:1s, Reclaim's newest feature that intelligently and automatically schedules time for your one-on-one meetings every week. Why did we build this? Did you know that the average workday has increased by 13% -- to 10.1 hours -- since the pandemic started? Did you also know that meetings, and specifically 1:1 meetings, drove nearly all of that increase? People are spending nearly 7 more hours in meetings every week, and their number of 1:1s has more than quadrupled. Perhaps most importantly, 1:1s are being rescheduled 42% of the time and canceled another 30% of the time on a weekly basis. We knew that something had to change: with more meetings and longer workdays, people are struggling to keep up with their calendars, get time for their priorities, and still find time to stay connected with their remote teams. That's why we built Smart 1:1s. What are Smart 1:1s? Smart 1:1s automatically find the best time for you and any other person -- inside or outside of your organization -- to meet regularly across different timezones and working hours, and auto-reschedules meetings when conflicts occur. It's the only tool out there that specifically focuses on auto-scheduling 1:1 meetings, and relieves you of the burden of scheduling and rescheduling those meetings so you can spend more time doing what you do best. How do Smart 1:1s help you? If you're somebody with a packed calendar, you know that finding times for recurring meetings can be a real pain -- especially with a distributed team that is working across multiple timezones and working hours. Even when you find an initial time that works, it's not guaranteed to work every week, and when conflicts occur you might find yourself scrambling to shuffle things around on your schedule to find another time for the meeting. Smart 1:1s completely eliminate this pain once and for all. Simply tell Reclaim when you want to meet, how much time you need, and roughly what window you want it scheduled in, and Reclaim will look for the best times within you and the other person's availability. If one of you has a conflict, or if the time doesn't work, Smart 1:1s will automatically reschedule to the next best time without you having to worry about it. Here are some common examples that we've seen among our Smart 1:1 users, who are now decreasing their 1:1 meeting cancellations by 83% and finding them another 71 minutes of time every week to collaborate: 🌴 One of you goes on vacation and is unavailable for the 1:1 🀝 A meeting comes in that conflicts with your scheduled 1:1 🏠 A personal commitment comes up (e.g., picking up the kids!) 🎧 Some critical work came up that you need to focus on πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Or maybe the time just doesn't work, and you need to reschedule! No matter the conflict or reason, all you need to do is tell Reclaim when the time doesn't work -- either by blocking over the event, rescheduling it, or declining it -- and Reclaim will auto-reschedule it. Magic! ✨ How do I get started (for free)? Smart 1:1s are 100% free through March of 2022! Here's how to get started: 1. Sign up for Reclaim via Google Calendar 2. Go through the onboarding steps, then head to your Smart 1:1s page 3. Convert your existing one-on-ones meetings, or create a new Smart 1:1 4. Set your availability, send off your invite, and put that meeting on auto-pilot forever 😎 We're amped to bring this feature to all of you, and we're looking forward to hearing what you think! And, if you're interested in learning more about the data we cited above, you can read it in an upcoming trend report we'll be posting on our blog very soon πŸ“Š Happy scheduling, The Reclaim Team

This looks great! ?makers how does this fit in with Calendly usage?
Patrick Lightbody
@raitis_velps Great question. We are huge Calendly fans (we have customer calls using it every day) and have made sure Reclaim makes the experience even better. The key thing is that Reclaim schedules Smart 1:1s (and Habits and Tasks, our other features) such that they are "free" on the calendar and only turn "busy" when your day fills up. As a result, Calendly will offer up that Smart 1:1 time if Reclaim detects that both you and your attendee have the room to reschedule the meeting. Just yesterday I noticed one of my 1:1s moved back a few hours on November 17th. When I looked to see why, it was because a customer had used Calendly to schedule a meeting. It was magical!

This is a great feature on an already fantastic product. I use reclaim.ai to coordinate three different schedules, leveraging their automated task management and habit scheduling. But as a manager and member of a leadership team, I still spend too much time shuffling 1:1s with my reports and peers. My favorite part of this new tool is that I can specify the days that work for each 1:1. For my direct reports, I like them to be late in the week to sync and reinforce what was discussed in Monday planning meetings. For peers, I like to meet midweek to give me time to integrate new requests into the plan before the start of the next week. Those scheduling geeks at reclaim.ai thought of everything!
