This is a book about the fundamentals of creating a good web interface. You will find out how to make effective forms, typography, grids, and many other components of web design.
These tips were compiled over many years and finally they turned into an entire book, which is available for free online.
I hope that every designer or developer can find something useful in it and improve their work.
I'm a solopreneur and I build all my web sites and landing pages. Just skim through your book and every section was something new for me to learn. Great book thank you for compiling all this.
It's nicely designed and has some good information & tips. But it states opinions as principles, often saying "this is what should always be done" rather than "this is useful in these circumstances", with some examples going against web usability principles. While useful for inspiration, don't apply the techniques blindly. Use to expand your design palette, not to restrict it.
Hey! What a good & valuable content. It will be useful to keep everything well designed. Thank you for collecting all these tips. By the way, don't you have a printed version of this book?
It's tagged as 'Free' on PH and there's a price tag of over $20 on their website. It's misleading. I get it, you give a free chapter, but it is not at all a good way of attracting people to the product
As someone knee deep in a website revamp, this is gold. On top of that, the book is aesthetically pleasing, which always makes my initial impression much more favourable haha. But yea, I'll be sending this to a few friends!
Good job! π
