Redoc is a ChatGPT alternative for Copywriting. Let's face it, ChatGPT is a Chatbot not a writing tool, that's why we built Redoc.

Hey Hunters đź‘‹ You and I both know that writing content with ChatGPT can be quite inefficient. I mean, why should it be efficient? It's a chatbot, not a writing tool! - ChatGPT does not write in your tone and context - rather, most of the time, people can tell when someone used ChatGPT for their copy. - You have to navigate back and forth between ChatGPT and where you write. - ChatGPT doesn't have the best user interface for writers. - Copywriting with ChatGPT is only efficient if you know how to do prompt training. - You can't use ChatGPT to generate images. - ChatGPT primarily only supports English. That's why we created ReDoc, an AI writing tool (not a chatbot) that addresses all the problems above. P.S. I will be documenting mv launch journey on twitter (@sofejohn), and sharing the effect launching on Product Hunt will have on us.

What's the one super power that makes it different from chatgpt? TBH I use chatgpt + grammarly when I do copywriting.

@sentry_co it is. been using it for months. it's not perfect, but useful for research. almost perfect for blogging and writing.

I agree with you. ChatGPT is too generic for this specific use case. Your app looks great and I hope you crush it!

I like the way you have organised the requirements writers have. However, I feel it requires more finishing to become usable.

Scammy founders using cheap tricks to get traction. Sam Altman had nothing to do with this, but they tagged him as a maker, and that triggered 60,000+ emails to his followers. How is this allowed @producthunt ? Unlist the product and blacklist the makers for future releases.

As someone who writes a lot of content daily, I tried the free version and I like it a lot. What I love is the ability to shorten and improvise each sentence individually. I’d love to see a progress indicator while the content is being generated. Congrats on the launch 👏🏻

@arpanramtek Yeah! It's going to be a game changer in so many ways.

Is @sama actually involved in this product?
Lashuel
@danielkempe seems likely to

@mohammed_lashuel Seems very unlikely, considering how busy that dude is... This looks like a poor attempt at growth hacking using his big name.

I belive everyone nowadays uses chatGPT / google bard to write copies or atleast ideate. But the thing is it unneccesary creates a hassle to copy paste from here to there, plus you need to have type in google doc or somewhere then also copy from there for new context to here . And the biggest thing is not everyone knows what prompts to write. So I think this is very useful for any content writer, blog writer or any one for writing immersive text without actually mastering prompt engineering. Let me know if we can make it better in any use case or let my friend Sofe john know, we are a agile team and we take all the feedbacks very seriously.

Is @sama actually involved here? Seems odd he'd launch a product marketed as a ChatGPT alternative

I've tried it and maybe don't understand whether/how it improves my ability to generate content that is familiar in voice and structure to that which I would write myself. From the presentation, and from having used ChatGPT directly for this, I was under the impression that it could write in "my own tone and context"... but it continues to tell me it is unable to do that, and furthermore that it is unable to connect to the Internet to get information (which ChatGPT can now do) Please clarify my misperceptions or otherwise confirm that it's not supposed to do these things?

Adding Sam Altman as a maker is messed up—a new low for indie makers.

@kossnocorp I just assume they grew up together like steve jobs and Jack Garabrino Edit: for context https://imgur.com/a/6cWVR6S

As a writer, Redoc AI's contextual suggestions are intriguing. Can users add specific style preferences to guide its recommendations?

Ah, the modern-day writer's dilemma: juggling between ChatGPT, Google Bard, and the classic copy-paste marathon! Gone are the days of quills and ink, replaced by the digital dance of toggling tabs and crafting prompts. But fear not, fellow scribes and blogsmiths, for we're in the era of making content creation as smooth as a Shakespearean sonnet. No more prompt paralysis or context chaos. Our team, led by the agile and attentive Sofe John, is all ears for your feedback. We're like the literary pit crew for your Formula 1 writing process. So, let's turbocharge your text and make writer's block a thing of the past. Write on!

Also just my personal feedback, I like this product and idea, it’s still in new phase but it’s amazing what you’ve done so far

Hi team! Very nice! Writing this feedback top of my morning so apologize in advance as it's not as organized. Overall UX is pretty smooth w a few kinks. I'll only focus on the things that can def elevate the experience once improved. Also congrats for getting this in the hand of users early! And focusing on that rather than getting something polished <3 - I asked Redoc to analyze my voice by giving it a link to a blog post. It said it will analyze it but there's no signal that it is doing so in the background. So I asked for an ETA and it gave 30 minutes. I think thats pretty long. In the future, it would be nice if there's a UI that signals Redoc's progress, or a loading state, or maybe send me updates every few minutes to assure me its still working on the task. - Since it said it was running in the background, I wasn't sure if I should keep sending in more task. Although the interface allows me to and it seems its still able to talk to me, as a human, I didn't wanna send in multiple tasks because I know what it "feels" like to be concentrating on one task and having to work on more haha. This is of course an illusion but Im not sure if its in fact a good idea to do so to prevent it from crashing or it has the ability to handle more. If so, what is the limit? - Onboarding was ok. I had the blank page syndrome when I saw the workspace the first time. Good thing I recalled the title of the Youtube video that popped up for a split second before disappearing while it was loading my workspace. I youtubed it - "Monkey Write Tutorial" . Its a good video! I def felt I was set up after 3 minutes of watching it. I advise shortening it tho to a minute (seemed very doable). - Taking notes from the tutorial, I copied a draft I had onto the editor and immediately asked it to improve my writing. But instead it gave me some tips on how to improve my writing in general. I then instructed it to look at the text I just pasted and improve it, only then did it work.

I use www.Flawlessly.Ai ( https://flawlessly.ai/app ) daily as my one-click-correct, better/faster Grammarly - totally free and unlimited use, even though I would so pay for this if needed.
