two huge issues, imho: it's an app exclusive for one platform, rather than webapp. this goes completely against the trend for long term, especially for an app that doesn't need to be native. it's obviously not such a big issue of the team is (or become) big enough and migration is in the roadmap, but i doubt this is the case. since it also won't offer any standard data protocol or good export functions, you'll be sure to lose the data sooner than being able to use it in any significant way. it's a manual log. which is like a "mood backup". and, like a backup, i won't do it or use it if i have to manually do it every day. because i will forget and lose important data on the way. yes, it must be automated. can't wait to see such a product that actually solves both issues. sleep for android got close to solving at least one, and i paid for it. but i had to stop once i realised it was a battery hogger. in retrospect, i also don't think the automated data collection was useful enough. cheers.

@cregox hi Caue, thank you for your feedback! We are going to integrate iCloud synchronization in order to save all the data. But I don't get the automatization thing you are referring to. A personal journal should not be automatized, the whole point is to manually answer questions every day. The focus and ignore lists stay and you don't have to change them every day.

@aleksandr_lanin so there's some automation. almost nothing, though. if the point was to be manual, why automate at all? nobody keeps a personal journal mostly because nobody wants to do the repetitive tasks daily. the few who do are the rare ones who can benefit so much from doing it that even going through the boring task isn't bad enough. no. the point of the journal is getting reliable data about oneself. just because there's no simple way to automate it that doesn't make it the point to input data manually. enter, again, the sleep journal as an instance. or google fit, which can grab healthy data on the pocket, without needing an extra device. or android well being. things people actually use as a kind of personal journal precisely because it's automated.
Aleksandr Lanin
@cregox there is no point to compare sleep/fit journal with a personal journal. These are completely different things with completely different goals:) I also can't agree that nobody keeps a personal journal. It's become extremely popular (e.g. bullet journals). So I do think that this could be helpful for many people. The concept of Posity is science-based. This is no just a random thing. Could you let me know more precisely what you think should be automated?

An important app that should help a lot of people! Had a quick look at your landing page too and left some comments here in context - https://app.usebubbles.com/c9533... -- Hope it helps!

This is such an awesome product. Very much believe in what you’re doing with this. Great job!
Aleksandr Lanin
@jaryd_hermann Thank you for your feedback, Jaryd! Your kind words motivate me a lot. If Posity helps at least some people, I will be more than happy.

Hi PH!🐱‍👓 Thank you @chrismessina for hunting Posity 🌸 If you are familiar with my apps already, you should have probably noticed they are all about health, mindfulness, and productivity. Moreover, I am for a science-based approach to creating my products. This one is not an exception. 😄 🌎The world is moving fast and it won’t slow down. So we try to speed up to match the pace of the action around us. We’re too busy with too much but have too little time. We stay up until 3 am trying to answer all the emails. We twitter, we facebook, and we link-in. We scan news websites to make sure we stay up to date. And we lose our focus each time we hear the beep or vibration of a new text message. But trying to catch it all is counterproductive. By now, we all know multitasking doesn’t work unless two things you’re doing don’t tax the same parts of your brain. Never before has it been so crucial to be grounded and intentional and to know what’s important. And never before has it been so vital to say “No 💜 Posity is your personal diary where you can not only share your thoughts and feelings, reflect on your life, but also it helps you stay focused on what's important to YOU and think POSITIVE. 🌞 If you stay consistent, it will transform you from who you are to whom you want to be within 3 steps: ❗ Step 1. Fill in Focus and Ignore lists. Review them each morning along with your daily plans, if you are serious about changing your life. 📝Step 2. Design your daily plans around what’s important. Resist the distractions and learn to be less reactive. 💭Step 3. Reflect on your day in the evening, recalling what went well and what didn’t. Add the mood of your day, image or tag to print them on your memory and calendar. 🧡💛💙💚💜 Mood map is an awesome and funny feature that contributes to the improvement of your emotional intelligence and hence becoming more mindful. If you are interested to learn more about the concept and recent studies we based on, I am happy to provide some extra details in the comments. 🐱 👇 I am happy to provide a promo code to use all extra features for you for free for 1 year! Leave your email or twitter below and I'll send you one! 💖 I will appreciate any feedback and am open to a discussion!

@chrismessina @aleksandr_lanin Love what you are doing here as I am dabbling in the mental health niche myself and have started a podcast in that area. I also do reviews for products on Product Hunt. Check out the link in my profile to see the format. All constructive, positive and professional feedback.
Basheera Kunnil
@aleksandr_lanin, congrats on the launch 👏 How is this app different from other apps that help you focus?
Aleksandr Lanin
@basheerak Hi Basheera! Thank you for your question. Posity helps you stay positive and focus on what's important to you! There is no even similar app out there yet:) The concept is based on the book Ten Minutes to Happiness by Sandi Mann. You can learn more here- https://www.bbc.com/future/artic...

@aleksandr_lanin I've been using it for a week now and I love it! It actually seemed too complicated on the start as it's text-heavy and has lots of questions, but it is not. Focus and Ignore lists help me always keep my ultimate goals in mind as it's the first thing I see when opening the app (great idea BTW). Frankly speaking, I do not always answer all of the questions but it's really useful to see them as a guide before journaling. I also enjoy summarizing the daily ups and downs and expressing gratitude in the evening - it makes me feel happy and teaches me a lot. All in all, I like the structure and I'm sure that this journal has a great potential to make a positive impact on my life.
