🙃 My name is Bilaal, and I'm thrilled to be introducing you to ReminderCal - an app that displays your Apple Reminders natively in the Apple Calendar app. 💯 I created ReminderCal so that I could keep using the Apple Reminder and Calendar apps that I knew and loved (and which respected my privacy) whilst boosting my productivity and stopping the jealousy I was getting watching my friends using other productivity suites. I'm looking at you Google and Fantastical 👀. ⌛️ It's been so humbling reading all of your feedback and love for the product. Fast forward 9 months and I'm so excited to release ReminderCal 2 for iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma. 🔄 Stay in full control of when syncing occurs. Manually trigger a sync from inside the app or schedule your own patterns using Siri Shortcut Automations. A great automation that I use is to schedule a sync every time Reminders is closed. It happens so fast that you don't notice and everything feels like magic - even when using the App Switcher! 🕹️ Prefer manual control? New in iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, sync directly from your Home Screen with Interactive Widgets. And if you prefer to use your voice, just ask Siri. 🪄 A quick pro tip: Add $nocal or $nocalendar to the title or notes of a reminder to prevent it from appearing in Calendar. ☯ Love dark mode? We fully support it throughout the app, including with our app icons. Oh and if you don't like the standard icon, we've got loads for you to choose from. 🛡️ And most importantly, all syncing is done offline, on your device. No cloud servers are used and no data ever leaves your device, so your privacy is always protected. You can verify for yourself by running the app whilst in Airplane Mode. 📱 Want to take advantage of this app on other devices? If you use an iCloud, calDAV or Exchange calendar, your reminders will already be synced to your calendar on all your other devices. If you prefer to store your calendars locally, this app is available on all your other devices: iPhone, iPad and Apple Silicon Macs. 🤖 I'd love to hear your thoughts on ReminderCal 2, so please comment below and let us know what you think! 🫶 Thank you for your endless support!

hahaha, I love this. I have hit this issue/wanted this tool because it's so confusing to set reminders. I'd love to hear what user feedback and features you've implemented since your last launch in February? Congrats on the launch!

@esus everything added was based upon feedback from others. This includes stuff like the custom app icons as users wanted to personalise their home screens more. A lot of people wanted even more options to run the syncing, so that’s how Siri and interactive widget support came along. And then there’s been loads of small quality-of-life tweaks to the UI, as well as massive re-architectures of the app to makes things even faster and more reliable.

Great idea @bilaalrashid , I've always manually added tasks to my calendar, so this would be very useful. Also great to see the good old pricing model on an app. Do I understand correctly that the user needs to add the widget and click sync in order to move the tasks to the calendar?
Bilaal Rashid
@greghovanesyan You have several options, and part of V2 was about expanding it so that everyone can use it within their own unique workflows. You can trigger syncing by clicking the button in-app, in the interactive widget, by asking Siri, or, my personal preference, running it automatically in the background using Siri Shortcut Automations.

Thanks @bilaalrashid thats a great product and something I have been missing for a while. Congrats on the relaunch.
Bilaal Rashid
@leo_wendler thanks so much. That’s great to hear!
Launching soon!
Solid move, Bilaal! Integrating Apple Reminders with the Calendar is a neat touch. How often do users typically schedule the sync using Siri Shortcut Automations?
Bilaal Rashid
@parul0_0 most people do it based upon their schedule and workflow. Most people, including me, schedule it to run when Reminders is closed, so effectively sync runs every time you add/edit a reminder, and it happens so fast it’s appears instant even when using App Switcher. I know others, however, like to schedule when their phone is charging overnight, or during their morning catch-up in the office.

That's great, always wondered why that wasn't an native option

@freddydrei that’s exactly what I thought!

Congratulations! This must be useful. I have always felt that the Event in the Apple Calendar app is not useful enough for me. Your product is very good.
