@shushant_lakhyani Our library of voices is ethically sourced in collaboration with Voice Actors. As mentioned above, we were the first AI company to partner with SAG-AFTRA, that represents their interests in the US. This means companies can more comfortable using Replica in their projects.

@shushant_lakhyani also, we offer a very diverse and wide range of voices in our AI Voice library, voices that can convey a wide ranges of emotions and nuances, which sets us apart from the other TTS providers out there. With our new 'Voice Lab' feature, creators can also design unique voices, by simply typing in prompts (for example we created the voice for a "talking Giant Tree" in the video^^). Similarly, creators could create unnique voices for their particular audience or theme of voice over. In addition, we've honed our product interface so that it's a lot easier for a creator to import their scripts from text files or spreadsheets and rapidly generate speech.

@morrisz thank you - definitely! It's a big market out there and we've only just begun to scratch the surface in terms of real customer / enterprise adoption of GenAI tools as a society, and there are many platforms offering similar services, each with their nuances and slight differences - we'd like to think our voices have the best emotive quality as well a diversity in terms of tonal choice, but we go by what our users say :) What do you think?

@shreyas_nivas definitely agree!It's a very big and potential market and we will see other players like Heygen and Synthesia, and even capcut & adobe. Take first-mover advantage into data flywheels and better user experience is really important. What's your product strategy? Focus more on vertical industry (B2B), or adding voice editing features?

@shadow_shadow1 appreciate you sharing your feedback, and apologies if you were mid way through a project and had a voice taken off the platform. It is an consequence of our ethical AI voice licensing model, that we allow our voice actor partners to choose whether or not they wish to continue hosting their voice on Replica when their contract comes up for renewal - we do not 'buy out' voices with a 1 time payment as that would be terribly unfair to the actor, they get paid 1 time and then we/our users continue benefitting off of their talent forever. We have developed the most ethical and legal licensing structure so that we build AI solutions in harmony with artists and creators, and we hope that other companies would find similar structures where GenAI can benefit the artists who's work was used as training data. That being said, we obviously don't want the other extreme where our customers are having to lose out, so very much appreciate your feedback on this, and apologize deeply if your project was affected. As for the change in payment model, we actually invested a significant amount of dev effort to ensure that our existing users from our early access payment models would be allowed to retain all their accrued credits until they were completely used up, after which, they could then choose to become subscribers to the new payment method. We had several emails and messages to indicate this would take place, perhaps you may have missed those messages or might have inadvertently chosen to move over to the subscription model? Anyway, I just wanted to point out that in fact we took into account the support from our early users and spent time and effort putting in place measures so you would be able to continue using Replica under the old model until exhausting all your credits. Anyway, would you please email us at contact@replicastudios.com with your user account so we can find a way to re-instate any credits you may have lost on account of this.

@aman_wen I think the quality and range of the voices can really surprise you. There are always improvements to be made but the gap to realism is closing everyday.

@oleksandra_vasiukhnyk thank you :) To your comment on ethics - we've partnered with a network of super talented voice actors to license their "AI character voices" with industry best practices as far as consent and compensation go, so we are very much aligned with artists/actors to ensure we build a platform where they benefit from access to new revenue streams powered by an AI product - this is in stark contrast to some other GenAI systems that train on publicly available data and do not respect the talented artists and their work that went into training the AI system, without their knowledge of consent. This has led to a series of lawsuits against a lot of the leading GenAI companies. Regardless of the outcome in courts, our belief is that we should be building AI systems that respect creators and artists. To that end, we've set the industry benchmark for our approach, and were honoured to be the first AI company to sign a licensing agreement with the Hollywood unions to be able to license 'digital replicas' of Hollywood talent (which is part of our enterprise service offering, not Voice Director).
