Improve your ideas, designs, and early-stage products with constructive feedback from a community of founders, makers, and tech professionals. Help others by reviewing their work to earn points and unlock reviews on your future projects.
Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Roman, a co-founder of ReviewLab — a feedback exchange platform for early-stage founders.
Back when I was a cognitive scientist, feedback was everything. Input from other researchers helped me improve my experiments, avoid costly mistakes and eventually publish in top journals. Transitioning into tech, I realized that feedback is even more crucial here. Early on, getting an external perspective can make a huge difference. While user feedback shows what problems need solving, it's the feedback from other tech professionals helps you build smarter solutions, catch overlooked issues, and reach your goals faster.
That's why we built ReviewLab. We've created a gamified experience that rewards helpful reviewers and ensures you receive high-quality, constructive feedback. You can easily submit your project, and we'll help you collect feedback from other founders and makers. To unlock your reviews, you can either contribute by reviewing other projects or purchase points—we use these funds to maintain the platform and to reward our best reviewers. We guarantee quality: if someone provides a low-quality or unhelpful review, you can request a replacement.
I invite you to check out https://reviewlab.app and submit your projects for feedback or help others by reviewing theirs. Let's support each other in creating better products and crafting delightful user experiences!
Thank you for your support, and I'm excited to hear what you think! ❤️
ReviewLab is actually a great place for early stage startup and founder to get useful review. The team is constantly iterating and making the product better so you can get higher quality review.
I've definitely received value from ReviewLab!
@danielwchen Thanks Daniel!
We'll keep iterating to make the platform even more valuable for founders like you.
BTW, feel free to submit your app whenever you need an external perspective on your product!
It’s a neat way to get a second pair of eyes on your copy and designs. Used it a few times and found the feedback to be much more detailed and insightful than shouting into the void on Reddit or X.
I think this is a really great idea!
I also like your points system - the possibility to get reviews either by reviewing other projects, or by making a payment.
However, I wonder what you do if the number of requested reviews is higher than the number of reviews people want to do (if many people buy points), or the other way round. Do you pay people to do reviews?
Also, are the reviews anonymous or not? (Actually, I'm not sure what would be better)
Hi Konrad @konrad_sx
Thanks for your feedback and support — it means a lot for our team!
We're considering paying reviewers to make the platforms more sustainable, however at this time we're trying to see if there are any people who're ready to pay for reviews. We just introduced this paid features and still not sure if there's a market for this.
Our team has a quite diverse expertise, so when there are not enough reviewers, we're providing feedback ourselves.
The reviews are not anonymous. We decided to do so because many founders want to know who's providing them feedback to decide whether to trust it.
But we anonymize submissions to focus reviewers' attention on the project, not the author.
Really enjoying the process of trading reviews with people on this platform. The points incentivize me to leave reviews so that I can see reviews on my projects.
I've left several reviews already and was delighted to see all kinds of feedback for my design studio's landing page coming from experienced professionals.
Can't wait to see what Roman and the team have in store for this project!
Early adopters of ReviewLab here! Such a great tool for indie beginners who want to get constructive feedback by fellow indie hackers. Great way to validate your idea. Keep it up Roman! We will keep using it
Wow! That's exactly what im looking for as i constantly launch digital products (features and microproducts) for myself & for my clients.
If the community is somewhat friendly and competent that's a project that the world really needs.
Hoping this project would grow & expand!
@arseny_moskvichev thanks! Yeah, it happens to all of us. When we worked on ReviewLab's landing page, at some point we became totally blind to our own product and had to use our own platform to get an external perspective on our landing page
