Robinhood is like eTrade as in you can invest in individual instruments.

Trades are zero commission as well, plus it got a cool social network element to it.
The $1,000 question that anyone with any finance knowledge should have already made: Do you respect Bid and Ask spreads that NASDAQ and NYSE feed real-time to Bloomberg's and others? or otherwise do you artificially widen the market spread, which equates to actually charge your clients an undisclosed % "commission" on every single trade? And you are expecting them to trade more frequently than the average investor (intraday, intra-week, intra-month) because you have created the false impression that each trade does not cost anything when it is not true.
P.S. -- We're HIRING. We have openings across engineering, design, office management, operations, and recruiting. If interested, please send your resume to careers@robinhood.com with subject [ATTENTION: Jack].
Having the ability to trade stocks for free is the ultimate game changer. If you have a small account and make small trades the typical fees associated with most brokers can kill your possible profits or increase your loss. And the larger investor that trades frequently can save major $$! And it's free!!!
I know i'm two years late... but this app is so beautiful it's making me want to leave my wealth manager and fidelity... If I wasn't tied up I'd use it.
