@michaelsacca The book looks really nice. (1) how did y'all decide who to include? and (2) how did y'all decide what tips to share? (The podcasts have been super helpful BTW)
Michael Sacca
@thomasknoll Thanks Thomas! We chose the episodes that had the biggest impact on us and how we ran our businesses. We also tried to find the best 'nuggets' that were easily digestible, many of them were the ones that I found myself repeating through out the year like "The answer is rarely one more feature," or "Simplify everything."

This should have a 100 upvotes. This team has done so many amazing interviews this year. Really great job!

Congratulations @JoelleSteiniger @michaelsacca @SDMattG. Been watching your story unfold since your landing page test for Hookfeed and it's great to see what you've achieved since then. Your podcast has become one of the best around for people like us. And the book looks gorgeous.

Nice lineup, @JoelleSteiniger, @SDMattG, @michaelsacca. Glad to be included and the full bleed photos are a nice touch. Tangential question: you three have worked on several product together, most recently Hookfeed. Why are you working on projects like Rocketship podcast and this book? I have some assumptions but curious to hear it from you. :)
Michael Sacca
@JoelleSteiniger @SDMattG @rrhoover thanks Ryan :) we're honored to have you as our first guest and in the book! We actually work on separate projects - Matt and Joelle are building Hookfeed and I'm building WithCircle.com. We started the Podcast so we could learn more about product development, sales and marketing oursleves while being able to give back to the community. The response has been overwhelming. For the book we wanted to bring everything together because we've recorded over 100 interviews and being able to compile that into the best insights, lessons and inspiring moments was something that really excited us. To answer you question about why we continue to do this in addition to our other ventures, I think we do it because it keeps us fresh. It's a side project that doesn't take over our time but is able to create a lot of value for us and the community. I always like having something to experiment with creatively and this is the perfect outlet for that. Beyond that, I love working with Matt and Joelle so this is just another excuse to do that ;)

@SDMattG @michaelsacca @rrhoover Ditto to what Michael said. Matt and I love working with Michael and this is the perfect project for us to share. I don't know that any of us anticipated the podcast taking off so rapidly, but we're thrilled that it has! I'm genuinely touched every time one of our listeners lets us know that one of our episodes positively affected their mindset or business. So fulfilling! And on a selfish note - every interview is a free education for us. We've all grown so much this past year thanks to the amazing guests that have opened up their stories to us. Truly grateful.
