Import tables and lists from thousands of websites to Rows in one-click with RowsX. Go to a website, click the extension and RowsX will automatically detect the table. Then, Open it in Rows in one-click.
Hi ProductHunt community,
I’m Henrique from Rows.
Today we’re announcing RowsX, our first Chrome extension. It solves a problem I think we’ve all face a ton of times: getting data from a website into a spreadsheet.
You can download the extension here:
https://chromewebstore.google.co...
We built RowsX to be the fastest way to scrape a table/list from a webpage into a spreadsheet.
Here’s how it works:
1. You’re on a website (say a Wikipedia page or a list of LinkedIn search results)
2. Click on the RowsX extension.
3. It detects all the tables and lists on that page and gives your a preview of each.
4. You can copy the content to the clipboard or open it in Rows directly.
It does not require you to be logged into to Rows, sign-up or paste API keys. Just install the extension, pin it, call it, and it works.
It should work in thousands of websites without a problem, including:
- Wikipedia
- LinkedIn (search results)
- Youtube (search results)
- ProductHunt
- Our World in Data
- ChatGPT
- GitHub
- Y Combinator
- NBA
- Yahoo Finance
- GA-4
- Google Maps
- NFL
- Yellow Pages
- Stripe
- Yelp
- ebay
- G2
- Tiktok
- Hubspot (tables)
- Zillow
- NASDAQ
- Stripe
If you find a website where it failed to scrape the list, you can request it to be added.
Let us know what you think in the comment section.
Happy scraping,
Henrique
on behalf of the Rows.com team
@henrique_cruz1 Congratulations Henrique! That is a great idea and will help skip the boring and manual task of extracting and loading tables to Rows. Amazing product you and the team are building!
As somebody who's been building web crawlers for a lifetime, I knew this was a different product the first time I saw it! What makes web scraping difficult is 2 things: 1) getting the data and 2) parsing the data. RowsX solves both problems 1) it's an extension running in the browser so you won't get blocked, and 2) It automagically parses the page for you so you won't have to write custom code for each page or website.
It also sends everything into my favorite spreadsheet software, Rows!
Seems like a very useful tool. I wish there was a landing page where I could look at the value it offers, because it clearly exists, it's just not self-explanatory.
Congrats for launching!
Looks sweet! (And that DOMAIN, wow. Incredible.)
This is brilliant because of:
>It does not require you to be logged into to Rows, sign-up or paste API keys.
Already checking out your main product, this is 100% how lead magnets should be done. A masterclass.
Congrats on your launch. 👏

Hey Henrique and the Rows team! 🚀 RowsX seems like a game-changer for simplifying data extraction from websites into spreadsheets. 📊 Can you share a bit more about the technical wizardry behind the extension? How does RowsX seamlessly detect and preview tables/lists across such a wide range of websites without requiring user logins or complex configurations?
Very interesting, @henrique_cruz1
I just had a conversation with someone recently about how Linkedin Posts information can't be accessed via their API. So that might be something to consider adding if not already included.
Tools like Shield use an extension to scrape that data anyway - so it might be worth looking at.
All the best!
@rick_fan the extensions copies it to the clipboard (grey button) or inserts it into a new Rows spreadsheet (yellow button). If you're logged in, it goes into your account, if you're not, it starts a new account for you.
Congrats for the launch.
It's a nice idea, so upvoted it.
I have tested it and it works well on older ones which use html for data.
I believe now-a-days google sheets/airtable are more often used.
So, any chance for that workaround.
Congratulations on the launch. Listen, it's really cool. I've had some struggles with parsing certain not-so-friendly to Beautiful Soup. I hope now this pain will be resolved. Thank you!
I've been looking for a solution like this one for months. Tried many non-usable scraping tools and none of them really worked without too many friction. Congrats for the launch and keep it up!
